From bottle @ BBF 2011. Purple color. Barolo wine and gorgonzola in the aroma. Very tart with caramelly Rodenbach-like flavor. Cherry and marzipan, leather. Oaky. Thin but intense .

UPDATED: APR 12, 2011 Bottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a cloudy opaque dark brown with a lively and lacing off-white head. Tart pretty nose, lots of barrel here. Medium body, dry dark dried fruits, loads of Brett and barrel, some sweet vanilla. No hops and not overly boozy - actually extremely pleasant and balanced. 230311

Bouteille @ ACBF 2011. Que dire de cette petite merveille si ce n’est que le Danemark mérite sa propre abbaye! Mikkel réussit là un autre tour de magie en intégrant parfaitement les éléments d’une quad càd en conservant le style belge tout en ajoutant sa touche personnelle dans l’ajout de ce fût de vin rouge. Une couleur brune foncée, mousse beige. Arôme présente un nez subtile de raisins donnant au vin une présence immédiate dans la bière. En bouche, ressent encore plus le tonneau de vin rouge avec un peu de malt et un aspect qui demeure fruité. Serait-ce donc là l’élixir des moines?

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2013 Bottle at ACBF 2011. Murky brown pour. Aroma of fruity ans spicy hops. Flavor is slightly sour, spicy and fruity. Nice brew. 8/4/8/4/16 Re-rate 12/03/2013. Bottle at monthly 2nd Tuesday tasting @ De Molen, hosted by dEnk. Murky brown pour. Aroma is huge with stilton blue, drenched in port, sweaty socks, a hint of balsamic vinegar. Flavor is smooth, tannine, barrel aged port and balsamic vinegar. Lovely balance and although quite offensive in the nose at first, really delicate in the mouth in the end.

Pours brown with allmost no head. Aroma is very sour. very smellable red wine barrel, sour berries (cherry up front) and wild yeast.. Taste is much "darker". Caramel, dark dried fruits along with sour berries and redwine aswell.

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2011 Funk, wine and wood aromas. Deep brown with thin white head. Mooderate roast with wine-wood and a hint of tartness and a clean finish. Notes: Alvinne CBF ’11

Bottle.Pours dark amber with a nice beige head.Aroma of sour red berries, funk , red wine, grapes and oak.Flavor is sweet and sour with some funk , red wine, malt, oak and berries.Medium body, average carbonation.Really nice beer.

Bottle. Dark brown with small off-white head. Flavour is malt, sour, wine, caramel, dark fruit, sweet, wood and brett.

Bottle. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is yeast, red wine, sourness, oak. Flavour is yeast, red wine, coffee, sourness, oak, brett. Medium to full body. Very nice beer.

Bottled. A hazy red beer with a bubbly brown head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, red berries, wood, brettanomyces, and red wine. The flavor is sweet with notes of wood, brettanomyces, malt, caramel, red wine, and alcohol, leading to a dry tart and alcoholic finish. Thanks pinball for sharing.
