This beer poured a murky mahogany brown hue with a two-finger thick head of tan foam. Decent retention and lacing. The aroma of the beer was made up of dark fruits, chocolate, caramelized sugar, and some alcohol. The flavor consisted of prunes, raisins, red apples, baker’s chocolate, caramel, earthy yeast, and some warming alcohol. The mouthfeel was medium to full-bodied with moderate carbonation. Very nicely crafted. Surprisingly authentic and to style. Well done! badgerben (3596), Blaine, Minnesota, USA

Pours a ruby color with a thick beige head. The aroma was very sweet; toffee, coca, nuts, coffee, and alcohol. The flavor was quite nice; sort of in between a BSA and a Imperial Stout; some coffee, brown sugar, a bit of bitterness, burnt malts, and some vinous notes. Nice. ratman197 (3189), Arvada, Colorado, USA
