Comments: Complex, yeasty and estery ale with a sugary strength that moves towards bubblegum and avoids banal spices. Foamy and candied. Massive yet smooth.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 9, 2007 (Bottled, 0.75l) Murky dark brown with a small, partly lasting head. Raisiny, plummy aroma with smoothly grainy-sugary chocolate and anise hints. The flavor is almost the same as St.Bernardus Abt, with plums, dried fruit, some yeast and grainy maltiness - but with added Rocheforty anise and flowery hoppiness. Medium to full-bodied with medium carbonation. A pleasant and well-made St.Bernardus clone with added Rochefort feel. Good stuff! Jukkabro (3007), Tampere, Finland
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 6, 2007 Near black colored, cloudy appearance. Little light brown head. Rich and interesting aroma: strong berries with strawberry dominating, some spices also here with obvious alcohol. Medium to full bodied. These strawberries also dominate in flavor, more yeast and spices come up here. Alcohol is also obvious in aftertaste, maybe even too much. Mild sourness lasts. Rather one-dimensional for Quadrupel. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 4, 2007 Courtesy of after4ever and shared with after4ever and bitbucket. Pours deep somewhat opaque amber with frothy light tan head. The aroma is really fruity with apples, pears, plums, sweet raisins, brown sugar and coriander. The flavor starts sweet with brown sugar and then pears, apples, plums and then raisins appear. As the fruit forward flavors fade some coriander spice shows up to add further depth as well as roasty malts and mild tannins. It ends with a lingering dark fruitiness of prunes, raisins and dates as well as mild tart tannins. No sense at all of the ABV in the nose or taste. after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA

Pours luminescent rubied opaque mahogany body with a thick, moussy, bubbly, grayish head. Sheets of bubbly lace. Big apple, strawberry, almost yogurty nose. Moderately substantial body, soft and tight carb. Delectable fruit and caramel mid-palate. Soft yeasty, bready, and vanilla notes. Very mild finish. Adenila (937), Denmark
