3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rated on 10-26-2009 (Corked and caged bottle) This beer pours a medium sized fizzy tan head that fully diminished, brown body, suspended carbonation, virtually no lacing, and some floaties. The Aroma is malty, yeast, sweet, dark fruits, and alcohol. The Taste is sweet, malty, dark fruits, and alcohol. This beer has a dry finish. The Palate is tingly and this beer is light-medium bodied. In conclusion, the ABV comes through and in a nice way. There is a warming sensation as this beer gets warmer, worth trying and definitely a beer I would drink again. This is a beer I recommend if one enjoys this beer style.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. One of the best mikkeller I have had from a bottle. Usually they tastes a lot better on tap but this one was really good. Nice sweet and yeasty aroma with a lot of marzipan. Quite sweet taste. The sweetness is accompanied with the mikkeller freshness which makes this a very enjoyable beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Dark amber color with a long lasting frothy beige head. Aroma of caramel and yeast, like a Belgian dubbel (or a quadrupel). Taste is more towards a Belgian tripel: alcohol, yeast and notes of glue. Yeasty finish with alcohol. Overall it’s not the most typical quadrupel but definitely a nice product itself.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at home, from some online joint, 12/01/14.
Opaque dark mahogony brown with a beige head that collapses to a covering that decided to stay for the show.
Nose is stale fart, light chemical notes, soapy, mildew, dark fruit skins, dishwater, something not right here, would suggest an infection but the beer tasted fine, although slightly sour for a quad so who knows!
Taste comprises dark fruits, prunes, dates, lactic ring, brown sugars, toffee fudge, nutty tones, light cocoa, touch of booze, Xmas cake, soured dark fruits.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light boozey notes glide off in the closure.
Not had many beers that have improved so much from nose to taste, decent enough stuff, must put this down for a revisit I suspect some kind of infection but still a decent drinkable affair, just could have done with a nose plug for this one at times!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
