Bottle at Københavnske Øldage 2006. Dark golden with a white quite firm head. Aromas of toast and a lot of citrusy hops. Mediumbodied, dry and with firm bitterness. Perhaps not a pilsener but rather a pre-prohibition lager, but definately an extremely good beer.

Bottled @ KØ 2006: Golden coloured. Unclear. Dense off white head. Sweet and herbal aroma. Has some fruity notes. Flavour is citric, sweet, quite flowery and herbal. Medium bodied. Is quite dry and crisp. Ends on a nice dry bitter note. Good one.

So this is never a pilsener. But who gives a damn about whether it’s true to style. This is a lovely beer. No ’body’ whatsoever, but plenty of pine like hop aroma and a nice refreshing bitterness. Something along the lines of 55 BU. Nice.

[Draught at Købehavnske Øldage] Clear pale golden. Strong grassy aroma. Very dry, yet with rounded mouthfeel. Very hoppy and really bitter. Stronger and more full bodied than regular pilseners.

What if all pils was brewed this way? I think this is uthopia. This is indeed a monumental low fermented pils. Slight hazy yellow golden beer with nice and fluffy white head. Aroma is powerfull for the style, it is dry malty, has a very good balance and the present hoppyness brings a lot of freshness and elegance in this very aromatic pils with the caracter of a dry blond, (Blond Beerthat is). This brew by Mikkeller has lots of refreshing aspects, it is tastefull, well balanced and ends with a crisp bitterness of fine refreshing hops. Why is there so much CRAP around ??? Mikkeller Movin Pilsener is a beer well worth carring the name PILS.
