Draught at Mikkeller Bar, opening night
poured as Revelation Cat in the Barrel

Cloudy deep blond color. Soft aroma of malts with accents of oak; light sweaty hops too. The body is much less strong than expected, almost an Ale, with evident yeast presence, a bit spicy. Correct bitterness. Nothing special.

On Tap and the Sail and Anchor, Fremantle advertised as Nelson ALive 6.5ABV, but certianly felt more like a 9% IIPA, Bloody lovelely aromatic kiwi hop noase, and totally drinkable best of their list

On tap (keg) at the Cask Pub & Kitchen on 12 February 2011, as Nelson Alive. Clear amber colour. Good head and condition. Decent hoppy aroma although there is as much sweaty, clammy character as gooseberry. Sweet and spicy (yeast or spices?) on the palate. Orangey notes but with some bubblegum and marzipan too. Very sweet on the palate. A real opinion-divider of a beer - some loved it, others were not too keen to put it mildly. I found it way too sweet for my taste, really rather sickly - just not my thing at all. Not for the first time recently with a Nelson Sauvin beer, I should add.

On tap at Sail and Anchor. Pours a light orange with a small white head. Loads of citrus on the nose, with passionfruit and grapefruit. Pale malts seem to give this one a decent backbone to the citrus hop explosion. Lots of passionfruit, lime, grapefruit, lemon. Good palate, good IPA
