English: Nelson Sauvignon is a New Year beer it is fermented with ale yeast, brettanomyces and enzymes. Then it has been aged three months in Austrian white wine casks. Very dry, very vinous and very delicious.

Great beer. Brett is evident but does not dominate the flavours. If anything the oak which comes through. Quite dry.

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2015 Bottle thanks to Alemax. Labelled as Nelson Sauvin But. Pours mostly clear orange with quickly settling off white head. Aroma is funky, barnyard, cheese, citrus, oaky, buttery. Subdued citrus and piney hops. Flavor is mildly sour, citrus and mellow pine, fading into fruity, vinous, oaky and buttery finish. Mild oaky and tart aftertaste. Soft carbonation, medium body, crisp texture and dry finish.

Shared Bottle. Amber color with thick white head. First aroma kick is full of Nelson Sauvin hops, than it follows with herbal, fresh, citrusy, almost champagne like/wine aromas. Taste is really strong, first sip is also full of Nelson Sauvin, followed by hard herbal bitterness, spicy, wood, almost wine notes. Dry, medium body with light abrupt finish. Long aftertaste. Enjoyable beer, I would try it again when possible for sure.

75 cl bottle, generously shared by Peter. Amber with a small creamy, thick head. Aroma has a lot of Nelson hops at first, followed by a lot of freshness, citrus and lemon, some tartness as well. Taste has once again, loads of Nelson hops and is in addition to that peppery, spicy, woody, has white wine notes and light herbal bitterness. Light to medium body, spritzy carbonation and dry mouth feel. Dry white wine like after taste, slight alcohol as well.
A pricey beer but shared on 3, it’s well worth it. Refreshing and really tasty!

Bottle. Aroma very intense, fruity, maracuja, grapes, very fresh, very inviting. Clear golden colour. Taste nasterfully combines three elements - exotic maracuja hoppiness, subtle white wine barrels and bubblegum bretty funk. Top league.
