4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Wow, golden amber in colour light touch of nutty hazyness to it with a lovely lightly beige head and coherent lacing. Noses of floral fruits, grapefruit, citrus, peach, and ripe grapes, a pretty eyebrow raising complexity. Light lively with a slick and velvety texture on the palate. Medium to full body further developing on the palate. Rather refreshing with a finish lasting balanced on the back of the palate which awaits another sip. Excellent beer.

Bottle share. Thanks to vertical bacon strips for this gift back in the day. Holdbar date 04/05/21. Aroma of dark fruit and citrus, heavily infused with Nelson Sauvignon hops. Taste is tart fruit, more Nelson. Very great.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours golden brown with a creamy head and thick lacing. Smells like peach, grapes, brettanomyces and a resiny hops. Taste is full bodied, lots of plum and grape and Shiraz-esque flavours balanced with resin hops makes for a really complex and luscious tasting beer. Lingering sweet bitterness, killer.

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
This has got to be one of the best beer I’ve ever had. It is truly a work of art. Poured into a wine glass, it displays a bright redish hue with an off white head. The nose is complex, very fruity, a little funky, and a little bit of the wood comes through. The flavors are huge and change with almost ever sip. Its tart up front, juicy in the middle, and ends with a nice dry finish that sends this one soaring for me. Very well put together, will purchase again even at twenty two dollars a bottle, worth every penny.

Thanks to Tom for sharing this beauty. This beer is everywhere all at once -- it’s basically a superhero. A pale, golden, dry, tropical, winey, hoppy, superhero. Not at all sure what to make of it, but that’s part of the superhero allure.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
750, corked, baled, and papered. Holy hell. I have no idea what this beer is, but it’s delicious. Pours a bright sparkling medium gold with a dense and creamy whitish head. Sharp grapefruit nose that gives way to a bit of lemony white wine as it warms. Very intensely fruity from the hop. Bright sparkling body, very light for the abv, showing no trace of the alcohol anywhere. Grapefruit, white wine, lemons, and mineral dryness on the mid palate. Really fascinating and very drinkable. Got a lot of different reactions from this one, many of which included some variation on how many different beers seemed to be bunked up in the same bottle. So good.
