Bottle shared. Pours cloudy straw with a white head. Aroma of weeds, freshly mown grass, citrus, coriander and other herbs, spices, light nutmeg. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Nice for the style.

Bottle @ il pretesto. It pours clear golden with a white head on top. It comes first something brett-like and citrus hints, then appear mint-like flavors. Interesting beer.

375 ml. Mikkeller styled green bottle with cap served into my Mikkeller Teku @ home. Purchased @ Hopduvel – higher class beer. Brewed originally exclusively for Noma – allegedly the greatest restaurant in the world – but now apparently widely distributed. This is a beer brewed with lemon verbena with which I am personally not familiar & named after Noma’s sommelier. Other herbs appear to be used going by the ingredient list but since I do not know Danish, I have no idea which ones. It is interesting to think the kind of crowd this beer might attract, not necessarily a beer-centric one either. Appearance wise this looks like a perfection of what most people think that beer looks like, namely bright sun golden & clear with a slightly foamy, tad creamy powder white head. Smell is intensely herbal, I presume that it is entirely dominated by lemon verbena but I cannot judge about that since I don’t know how that one smells or tastes like. I am getting strong aloe vera here, botanical garden, lots of herbs, very floral, clean with rosemary & small mint-like hints with light citrus. Taste ones I am picking up similar notes, lots of aloe vera, botanical garden, rosemary, bitter floral, touch parley & mint, flowers, citrus, bakers yeast & floor, substantially bitter in the back in a herbal, slightly ester-type of way. Light, perfect carbonation. I can imagine that this would pair well with the type of dishes that Noma serves. I find this to be quite interesting, it is doing original & great things and introduces a lot of new and highly enjoyable flavours. This is frankly a brilliant beer from the Mikkeller brand in my opinion and one that I greatly enjoyed drinking.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2013 31/XII/12 - 37.5cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ home - BB: 4/X/16 (2012-1440)

Clear pale yellow beer, creamy white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: artificial lemon, dish wash product, floral, soapy, green apple skin. MF: ok carbon, light body. Taste: citrus, lemon, soapy, lots of coriander, little bitter, more citrus. Aftertaste: soapy, lemony, citrus, coriander, bitter. Pffff...

from Erzbierschof - clear and bright blond beer with a modest foam left; perfumy aroma with strong notes of medicinal herbs; medium-bodied and with a biting astringency; very dry and bitter with long herbal and spicy notes in the finish - surely interesting yet very hard to like

38cl, as Pontus Noma, new exclusive Danish brew Anno 2012, with Verbena, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex Belgian White, spicy/floral and slightly fruity/sweet, balanced, hazy, rocky head, nice brew, yet expensive!

Bottled. A yellow beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of spices - must be the jernurt on a malty background. The flavor is sweet with notes of candy, herbs, malt, and caramel, leading to a dry herbal finish. Very interesting.
