2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a clear pilsener colour with a small white head. Aroma of lemongrass, ginger, grass and weed. Quite sour taste and a bit too watery. The aroma promises a lot, but the flavour does not back it up to be honest. Thin mouthfeel with soft carbonation. A interessting beer, but it has some faults.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light yellow pour, lots of frothy white head, smell is grass, Belgian yeast and a bit of lemon. Taste is highly carbonated, light citrus, very crisp finish. Good for a summer day.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
37.5 cl bottle @ home. Pours slightly cloudy yellow with a white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma is citrus, spices, and something herbal (I’m guessing it’s jernurt). Flavour is much like the aroma – with a dry finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bouteille 37.5cl, BB 04-10-2016.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
375ml green bottle. Pours out a pretty standard yellow shade with some light haze. The head is very full and white, the lacing is good and sticky. Herbal and slightly grassy aroma with detectable minty, lemony notes, it’s kind of like a Ricola cough drop. Fairly light start with some slight biscuity malt, minty and herbal middle with grassy notes. Aftertaste has grain, grass, floral and herb notes with a light minty sensation on the tip of the tongue. Light in the mouth, crisp mouthfeel. This beer is at the same time slightly odd and very refreshing. Not sure what it aims to be, but I like it.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
375ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a 2 finger white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is lemon with some herbal and floral notes. Taste is a lemon tartness with a herbal hop bitterness and a light grainy malt and light fruit sweetness. Light to medium body with adequate carbonation. A tasty brew that I recommend others to try.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle split with JF at his gaff - the 60+ insect bites tasting, thanks to he, 09/06/13.
Lightly hazed blonde with a medium white head that retains well.
Nose is citrus, lemon rind, spice, herbs, grass, menthol notes.
Taste comprises bitter orange, lemon rind, herbs, mint leaf, citrus, grass, tangerine.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish with light bitterness, crisp and clean.
Interesting offering, not the kind of beer I’d look to revisit on a regular basis but well made and a great palate cleanser at a tasting in between bigger beers.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
375ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy medium gold, with a medium white head, which lasts well without leaving too much lacing. The aroma is dominated by lemon verbena, which gives it a herbal, citric almost sauvignon blanc character. More lemon verbena up front is combined with mild spice hops. Very light white bread and caramel malt notes in the mid-palate are again overcome by zingy lemon verbena, which persists into the finish. This is not a bad beer, although very one-dimensional. It feels like the beer itself is just there as a plinth on which to mount the herb, and it definitely feels like a beer designed for white wine drinkers. It is pleasant enough, and to give NOMA their due, it is better than Ferran Adria’s beer.
