Bottle: The aroma consists of roasted coffee, coffee, and oranges. It pours a dark brown with orange highlights and a small beige head. The flavor starts with light orange with some chocolate more finish has light roasted coffee with a touch for roasted nuts. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, orange and coffee don’t mix.

Bottle: A porter. Made with oranges & yuzu fruit. Aged in orange flavored cognac barrels. Mikkeller will never cease to amaze me, whether good or bad. Black body with a long lasting, creamy light-tan foam. Moderate sheets of webbing left all over the glass. Aroma full of roasted malts, faint peaty smoke, a touch of sweet orange peel, heavily caramelized brown sugar, & mild citrus undertones. Not really tart, just sweet. Bigger smoked meat essence towards the tail end. Flavor has a stronger orange presence. Big-time citrus flavors (again, sweet & not tart) mixing with a heavy dose of smooth cocoa beans, faint coffee, & a good bit of roasted malt. A small river of creamy sweetness flowing throughout. Mostly roasty with a slightly tannic finish being the only indicator of barrel aging (perhaps some of the orange flavor is from the barrel, too). A little bit of roast & orange peel lingering in the aftertaste... Strange sounding combo, but it works in the weirdest way. Thinner mouth feel than I’d like with a hint of finishing astringency. Not quite acrid. Very different, but overall a pretty tasty beer. Definitely enjoyed it, but I don’t think I’d spend 15$ for another 375ml bottle.

At a a tasting, thanks yk23, big intense long lasting beige creamy head, aroma of cocoa, citrus, wood and hints of peach and peel, flavour of coffe, vanila and and wood, strong sourness and quite light bodied, a bit unbalanced. Strange and not sure what to make of this.

Awesome porter. Has a delicate chocolate aroma. It’s pitch black with nice head. Taste is deep and long. Dark tanned malts, bitterness mixed with yuzu interesting flavour. Really great beer.

Draught @ Taphouse. Pours very dark brown with a fully lasting and fine lacing tan frothy medium head. Aroma is coffee, burnt malt, citrus, sweet orange, dark chocolate, bread, oak and Grand Marnier. Taste is and Body is medium+, texture is creamy and smooth, carbonation is soft+. Finishes ashy with orange. The ashy notes and the sweet orange mingles surprisingly nicely and ends up being an easy drink. The texture is really neat.
