330 ml. bottle @ home from Caigny. BBF 15/07/2017. Hideous label. Very dark, blackish brown, little mocha head. Nose is thick praline, chocolate truffles, huge aromatic citrus oil, very unique & outspoken (I have never eaten a yuzu), lots of the lightly sweetish citrus, light umami,… Taste is oily roast with lots of citrus oil, sweetish, lots of oil from citrus peel, light pralines, bitter roast, creamy hazelnut, dried orange peel in an almost marmalade-kind of way,… Interesting, if a bit too oily in all directions but noteworthy all the same,… Low carbonation, creamy & oily. Lingering oily citrus peel with quite a bit of umami, low roast,…. Very interesting beer. The base isn’t exactly to my preference but the fruit character on this was quite something else.

330 ml bottle. Pours an opaque, dark brown with a large, creamy, light brown head that laces nicely. Sweet, orange, hoppy aroma with roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate. Sweet citrus, hoppy flavour with liquorice, coffee, dark chocolate and a dry, mildly bitter roasted malt finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Most unique porter that I have ever tried!

Pours black with a big tan head. Not a whole lot of aroma, but roasted malts, faint orange blossom.... taste of chocolate, roasted malt, orange peel, nice bitterness. I really like this one. Different, but very good indeed.

Marduk (3533) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 16, 2015
330ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Very dark brown almost black color. Massive size head, but that’s my sloppy pouring. Spicy, orange marmalade, very faint roast in aroma. Kind of weak aroma. First few sips are milky, roast, malty and ashy in taste. Later it turns more sour and citrusy and they don’t mix well. Well it’s a beer.

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. This inky black beer pours with a large rocky head of foam. It has orange blossom, and lemon flavours followed by milk chocolate, liquorice and roasted coffee on the finish. Unusual and very nice.
