angelkostvo (937) - CZECH REPUBLIC - JUN 4, 2013
Black color with 2 fingers beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, some bitter chocolate, coffee, hazelnuts, earthy hops. Taste is light sweet, just a bit sour and nice bitterness at the end. Chocolate and smoke flavor. Medium body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation. Really good, barrel aging will make it amazing I think.

ciaranc (1102) - Dublin, IRELAND - JUN 2, 2013
Deep, dark brown, rich mocha tan head. Leather, coffee, chocolate, smoke and a touch of hop bitterness in the aroma. So rich in flavour, more sweet chocolate up front, a blast of coffee, then a rousing hop bite. Smooth, slick mouthfeel, carbonation is almost flat, not quite. Lush chocolate finish. An almost perfect porter.

Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with small tan head. Dark aroma of malt, caramel and dried fruit. Roasty, malty flavour with notes of caramel and coffee beans. Very well balanced. Dryish aftertaste. Needs to be re-rated as the bottle had been open for 24 hours. Still, very good.
