4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Big massive beer, lovely. Pours oily black with a small tan head that dissipates to a ring. Minimal lacing. Nose is burnt coffee and bitter chocolate. Aromas are same, as well as a hint of dark fruit in the background and lots of bitter espresso. Mouthfeel is oily with lively carbonation. Tastes are big sweet and a huge bitter finish. Great stuff.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from AmmersinO, Vienna. Dark brown to black body, with a beautiful, big, creamy, tan head, that leaves a lot of lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, wood, earth, liquorice, dark fruits, some alcohol. Taste is just yummy, bitter-sweet, with dark chocolate, coffee, earth, wood, smoke and a subtle, surprisingly complex fruitiness from the background, with red and dark fruits, some ripe banana. Mouthfeel is full, creamy, with a medium carbonation and it finishes complex, with bitter, roasty and sweet notes of chocolate, coffee, smoke and a slight fruityness. The wooden smoke notes pleasantly stay very long in the back of the throat. Overall simply delicious, one of the very best Porters I’ve had so far! Perfectly balanced, elegant, with wonderful, complex, dark aromas and a very nice, smooth smokiness.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma - is noticeably chocolate, roast, caramelized sugars, and some alcohol
Appearance - very dark brown body, which is opaque, the tan head about 1/2" falls to a thin ring
Taste - the taste is more sweet than roast bitters; chocolate, roast and caramelized sugar dominate
Palate - the body is full, the texture more slick, carbonation appropriate somewhat soft, the finish is velvety with the roast astringency settling on the side of the tongue.
Very much enjoy this brewery

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle in a tulip. Pours black with a lacy, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, a little smokiness, some dough, and light bitterness. Flavor the same with a great blend of all of the dark malts. Smooth to thicker texture. A really good porter.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: FEB 5, 2014 0,33L bottle, BB 24.09.17. Pours pitch black with huge brown head. The head stays. Aroma is bitter, coffee, toast, smoke. Taste follows the nose, feels a lot like rauchbier-porter. Finish is nice and bitter. Overall: i would say it’s more "smoked" than porter, at least it reminds me more "Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Märzen" than "Fuller’s London Porter" (both excellent examples of their styles). Still whatever the style is, this is just a great beer.
