3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The pour is orange in color with a white head. A strong citrus peel aroma, mostly candied orange. A mild spice note, some fruity esters such as pears and apples, and a hint of yeast. Quite a lot of candi sugar, brown sugar, and caramel, too. The flavor is decently sweet, but also has a hint of pine and citrus peel bitterness. Candied orange, brown sugar, and sweet caramel maltiness. Very mild ester notes and a hint of bread and yeast.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a medium amber, with a fluffy, off-white head.
Very spicy, almost perfumed aroma, coriander seed, wheat, orange peel, lavender (?), malt, caramel, jasmine flowers.
Off-dry, medium bodied, quite high bitterness, lively CO2.
Spicy taste, coriander, lavender, wheat, cloves, banana, malt, caramel, rose petals, orange peel.
Verging on cloying, but there’s an astringency that balances it out quite well.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(Magnum thanks to mar) pours an opaque copper-ruby with soapy tan bubbles that don’t stick around too long. Nose of pine, honey, richness, citrus and caramel. Taste is more bitter than I expected for the age and from the nose, pine, citrus peel, honey, rich caramel, and a linger that’s a bit estery but also sweet. Medium thick body, that’s oily and delicious.

75 cL bottle from Beers of Europe into a pint glass at home. Plentiful bubbly head over a fizzy, opaque red/orange beer. Lovely hopped citrus orange aroma. Dry, and bitter, and a little spiced. Pretty good. Just a hint of alcohol potency.
