2012.12.30 - Mikkeller Red White Christmas - bottle in pint glass. I did not take notes while drinking this unfortunately but wanted capture my recollection a week later. Shared with friends while watching Redskins vs Coyboys at Lisa K's. Poured medium amber, nice color. Don't recall aroma. Taste was in ballpark of something like Affligem Noel. It was a bit of odd spice, maybe coriander, and gave me the impression of pine or spruce. I also mentioned tasting a bit like gin at one point. Was quite tasty, would drink again. I wish it was bottled in 750ml or better yet 375ml bottles.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Fruity and hoppy smell with grapefruit and pine. Similar taste. Nice bitterness that settles nicely and stays a while. Very nice beer. I would never have expected it to be a witbier though.

Pours hazy amber with offwhite head. Quite some lacing. Hoppy aroma of grapefruit and orange peel. Taste is bitter of orange and grapefruit. Its very dry.
This is exactly how it should taste and for once I’m happy its a 1500ml bottle and I dont have to share it with someone else!
I will have a happy new year!
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 mansquito (2493) - Nueva York, New York, USA - DEC 31, 2012
Spuyten Duyvil, Brooklyn tap ($9): Pours a hazy light brown with a pretty loose head. Aroma is really woody, with some vinegar and wine, along with plenty of fruitiness. Taste is slightly sour, quite woody. Hops are present, but rather subdued. I wouldn’t have figured that this has a witbier in it though. In any case, I found this to be an interesting beer with a rather unique taste.

Magnum sized bottle poured a hazy amber colour with a large off white head.Aroma of grapefruit and oranges with other citrus notes too.Orange and grapefruit also feature strongly in the taste. A little spiciness also features making a tasty easy drinking beer albeit minus any wheat beer style aromas or flavours.
