3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught. Low fluffy and quickly disappearing off-white head. Hazy orange body. Sweeet citrussy spicy aroma and flavor with a heavy shot of hops bitterness. Low carbonation. Long bitter finish. Alcohol well hidden. When I look of the former ratings I wonder a bit and think it is far too overrated. The Mikkeller brand is hyped, could that be the reason?

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught @ Christian Firtal, Odense. Pours hazy orange amber with small off-white head. Clear, sweet aroma of fruit, malt, and caramel, with touches of cloves and cinnamon. Sweet, malty and caramellish flavour, with fruity notes and pronounced hints of spices. Lingering, warm and bitter finish. Nice.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at Ølbaren, Copenhagen
Hazy amber color with generous head. The aroma is rather fruity, and hoppy. Semi-sweet flavor, there are some berries and some spices (coriander, cardamom and orange peel come to mind); relatively strong bitterness. As elegant as American beers can be.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2013 bottle shared at the Asahiya Christmas party in 2012, 3350 yen for the magnum, I felt it was a great white beer/ipa hybrid which delivered on both. Bitter but flavorful, very nice. 2013 vintage 8% bottle from Yamaichi shared at Christmas Tasting. An orange gold, great thick head of beige head. Bready malty & hop aroma, deliciously hoppy, touch of cinnamon, medium bodied. Really good not incredibly complex but exceptionally solid. I think this year’s vintage had the malts amped up & the hops toned down. Good. The hoppiest & maybe most divisive beer of the night, also the one we had the most of!

12/22/2010: Mikkeller Red & White... Aroma: Almond, toffee malt, the hops are hard to define - leafy/herby. Appearance: Orange-amber color with a frothy beige head. Flavor: Sugary malt with a nice maltiness overall; earthy and almost herby; hint of peppermint/evergreen. Palate: Medium-bodied; soft and smooth. Overall: Hmm... tastes a bit like a candycane; a lot like DFH/Stone/Vicotry Saison Du Buff in many ways...
Draught at Dutch’s in Cincinnati, Ohio. Thanks for sharing, Tmoney99! Rating #266 for this beer.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2014 Magnum from Mane Liquor. Big bottle! Pours amber with a medium beige head which lasts and is very sticky. Nose is very stone fruit driven with hints of dry fruit, grass and banana. Heavy apricot and peach in the taste with light toffee to back the mellow bitterness. Easy drinking but a tad too heavy in the palate. A good hop forward Wit
