Maria (9572) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAR 6, 2011
It’s hazy, orange-golden with a huge, creamy, golden and lasting head. The aroma has notes of fruit, mostly peach and citrus. The flavour has a light sweetness, a refreshing bitterness and notes of fruits like peach, melon, a little oranges and other citrus, and the finish is slightly spicy and dry. The balance is very nice, in the delicious beer. I was fortunate enough to share the 1½ liters with only one other person :)

Magnum from Half Time. Pours hazy orange amber with a heavy foamy beige head. Lightly sour citrus aroma. Me. body; mild carb. Flavor is lightly sour, citrus, and rather decent De Proef funk that develops with a little time. Finishes smooth and Belgian. Wouldn’t have known this was Xmas ale. Good tasting ale.

Draft. Poured clear dark copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted and produced excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex spice and alcohol aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy spice sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a good holiday beer.

Koelschtrinker (8495) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 11, 2011
12/12/11/12//12

Draft at Churchkey. Dark hazy golden color, thick off white head, massive lacing. Aroma of Christmas tree - orange, pine, light spice. Taste is bitter start to finish with more orange peel. Nice stuff.

1.5 liter bottle. Poured a medium and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, some fruitiness, and floral hops. Tastes of the same floral hops, some pine, citrus, toastiness, and caramel. On the hoppy side.
