Beese (1099) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 14, 2014
Bottle from Beers of Europe. Slightly past its best before. Poured a hazy golden colour with a dense, white head. Aroma of honey, peach and tinned fruit. Citrus hop flavours with some ginger and sponge cake. Finish was soft fruit, honeycomb and wheat.

skoisirius (1466) - Earth, Washington, USA - APR 1, 2014
Bottle at Earth House, Ko Tao, Thailand. Was hoping for this one to pop a bit more but you could just faintly make out the flavoring of ginger and honey, where the honey was a bit more pronounced. Light, would be a great summer beer, but more flavor!

Bottle. Poor lager-like light aroma. Bitterness caused by ginger, but no ginger itself. Sweet honey palate. Not best beer from Mikkeller.

allmyvinyl (2179) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 12, 2014
330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear gold, thick white head. Light ginger aroma, no discernible honey, which for me is a blessing., as I think it can easily overpower a beer. Light yeasty notes there too. On the taste, ginger comes through more, and some caramel sweetness. Quite creamy, warming finish. Not bad.

Something different. Pours golden with a nice foamy white head. Aroma is sweet and citrus, little floral / herbal. In the mouth I get the ginger slightly. Taste is sweet. The yeast is a little spicy too, Belgian-esque. Herbal, peppery touch to the finish. Light-medium bodied, clean mouthfeel, quite lively. Not awful, but I was left a little flat.

Pours a golden yellow. Smells sweet like malts, oranges, and spices. Taste is initially sweet with some spices as an aftertaste.

GoufCustom (613) - HONG KONG - DEC 27, 2013

330 ml bottle bought at Craftissimo in Tsim Sha Tsui East.

Clear golden honey amber colour with some dirt-like yeast sediments; Two finger head with beautiful, crumpety white foam which lasts for 4 minutes; Excellent sticky lacing with fizzy carbonation; Fragrant sweet aroma of malt, with strong banana, vanilla, orange, ester, caramel, sugar, light alcohol, strong Belgian yeast, and faint spices; Medium sweet taste of light malt, with molasses, light ginger, faint orange, notes of wet cardboard, yeast, fairly light spices, liquorices, bitter lime and sharp grass; Close to light body, thin and slightly slick palate; Mouth feel is fairly close to a Belgian Ale. Malt is thinner tha n usual, nice orangey sweetness. Ginger is kinda dull, raw and bitter, taste is okay but in a negative way; Bel yeast dominates, no rice or adjunct tastes detected. Alright… Hoppiness is faint spicy nose, bitter lime, liquorices and sharp grassy taste. Lasting mid to low bitter finish; Slightly dry after taste, pleasing and bitter sweet to mouth.

Comments: This is a thinned Belgian Ale, with very nice head, fragment eastery Bel yeast aroma, pretty competent sweet malty taste with ginger on the dark side. A pleasing session Ale and I like it!

StueyD (1067) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - NOV 29, 2013
A mid amber coloured beer with a frothy white head. A light aroma of hops, malt, a tiny hint of ginger and an underlying honeyed aroma. Dry mouthfeel. An initially sweet honey hit to start, then this is tempered by a zesty, tropical fruit hop flavour, the ginger is in the background but not prominent. The finish is zesty an citrusy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
