0,375 l bottle.
Poured murky pink brownish with a fantastic creamy foam on the surface. Some belgian yeast in the fruity aroma, some toasted grains, vanilla and candies, sour cherry with berries, spicies. Very interesting and lively aroma. Oily texture brings the fruity taste with cherries of course, vanilla and some lactic flavor, light sourish character, spicies like cinnamon. Fine, good and interesting one! Taste like a fine dessert. Yumm.

Bottle at home. Thanks Cecil for the gift. It pours hazy reddish with a creamy forever lasting white head. The aroma is cherries, sweet malt, fruit and some yeast. The flavour is cherries, fruit, spices, cinnamon and it has a creamy and smooth texture.

Sweet up front, tart towards the end. Don't taste the almond though. Great Belgian smell and taste. Doesn't taste like 8% ABV... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @ home. I had the 2010 version two years ago and couldn’t stand it do I hope I enjoy this one more. Pours a purplish orange appearance with an off white head. Tangy raspberry, cherry, juicy, a bit spicy, toasty malty aroma. Weird berry, cherry, chewy, toasty, mild toffee, tart flavor. A touch syrupy mouth feel. Interesting but not my favorite. It is pretty smooth for the abv.

THOUGHTS: Wow. That was a lot of cherry for a non-lambic beer. For being mostly all about cherry it sure had a lot of complexity — sweet, sour and acidic. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, light to medium orangey, red with a large, sort of pinkish head that mostly but slowly diminished leaving good lacing. The aroma contained moderate nutty malt; light cobweb yeast; both sweet and sour cherry; honey; hints of brown sugar; cherry pits; and a hint of vinegar. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and moderately acidic; while the finish was lightly sweet, moderate to heavily acidic and lightly bitter with and average to long duration. There was sweet cherry, sour cherry, almond, honey, hints of brown sugar, nutty malt, and cherry pit. The medium body was dry with fizzy carbonation and a dry and light to moderately astringent finish.

Bottle purchased at the old Premier Gourmet, in Niagara Falls New York. Pours a cloudy peach, almost red colour with a white head the is thicker on the sides of the glass, some lacing there as well. Nose is sweet with a touch of fruit, like quite obviously cherries and some grain as well. Tastes like sweet cherries and a little tartness too.

Bottle from Bruisin’ ales - pours clear red with tiny bubbles. Aroma is malt, almond, and cherries. Taste is sweet with bitter undertones. Palate is sticky finishes dry. Overall, I wish the cherry was more prominent, but other than that quite good!

Pours amber with a pinkish hue and huge creamy tan head. The aroma is light, crisp, and brings a bit of berry, I yearned for more though. The flavor brings cherries, a bit sweet and vaguely tart, without much of an ending unfortunately, maybe the almonds coming in softly with the malts but settling quickly to almost nothing.

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2012 Draft. Pours copper with no head to speak of. Aroma is funky malt. Taste is tart cherries and more sweet than sour. Not bad but not what I hoped for.

Pours cloudy amber with an off white head. Nose is earthy, cherry and spicey. Tastes has some tart cherries with some yeast and spice. Enjoyable.
