375ml bottle. Pours a hazy pink-tinged amber, with a huge, pillowy pinkish-white head, which lasts extremely well, leaving good lacing. The aroma is sweet and fruity, with hints of liqueur cherry, raspberry and cream, and perhaps a hint of soft, grainy malt. Surprisingly strong, spicy hops lead into a lusciously smooth body of whipped cream and sweet cherry. A touch of raspberry leads into a mildly peppery hop resurgence, which blends strangely well with sweet kirsch in the finish, leaving a warming and quite alcoholic aftertaste. This is quite a strange beer, both sweetly fruity and quite hoppy, yet these actually work quite well together. I’m not usually a fan of fruit beers, but this is quite a decent drop.

Meh. This is a surprise from Mikkeller. Bottle was a little too cold; poured a nice, cream colored, thick, foamy head that settled down after a bit and some lace. Color is a murky pink orange amber with bits of sediment in suspension. Aroma is malt, cherry, yeast. Flavor is a rather uninteresting blend of malt, sour cherry, carbonic tang, maybe some almonds in there somewhere. Body and carbonation are good. Finsih is like flavor, tapers to a slight bitterness. A fairly mild beer overall, understated.

Wow.. I loved this beer. Color reminds me of the leaves changing in autumn. Not much lacing or head. Flavor of light fruits, a lot of cherry- nice bubbly balanced carbonation. Left me wanting more.

Not sure what’s going on with this beer, but the addition of sugar is very unneeded. Ris a la M’ale smells kinda off, mildly fruity but musty too, with a Euro-funk that makes me think of lager, not whatever type of ale I have here. Too sweet, not tart enough, with a cloy, harsh finish, yet one with a lingering aftertaste of almonds. Leave it.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy brown/amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is a bit weak; sweetish, alcohol, fruity notes with a cooked vegetable touch deep down, floral and spicy notes. Sharp, almost metallic overtone. Flavour is tart and sweet (molasses), spicy and malty with notes of berries. Cloying. Finish is sweet and malty with a spicy note, alcohol and a lingering dryness. Too much carbonation. Overall okay, but not really doing anything for me. 05.11.11.
