A wild mix of beers here. Somewhat funky a year later and the fruit is understated. The almonds do well to smooth out the flavor. This is good, just not wildly good.

Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Hazy reddish/amber with an ok offwhite head. Malty aroma, biscuits, raisins, cherries, vanilla, caramel, candy, banana, hay, almond, slightly tart. Caramel flavor, cherries, vanilla, bitter hops, raisins, toffee, vinous, grapes, citrus notes. This beer is all over the place, but it gets away with it.

Pours a hazy reddish/pink color with a medium white head. Aroma as mild cherry but smells like frangelico. Flavor is more cherry than almond but bothare present...8% abv is hidden very well...light tartness and vinousness creep in. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish has tart cherry with fain nuttiness. Nice!

Bottle - 2012 ed. Pours clear reddish amber color and an average frothy off-white head. Aroma is cherries, almond, rice, light bready malt. Taste is sweet with tart cherry-notes. Body is medium, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is soft. Interesting experiment, but somewhat dull beer.

Pours a pinkish amber with a decent pinkish head. Somewhat reticent aromas of fruit and some malt. Delicious cheery and vanilla flavours in the mouth, with a sweet-sour profile. Creamy and delicious texture. Nice interesting beer.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Kvadrat. Pours hazy light amber with a big light pinky creamy head. Aroma is fruity, with berries and cherry, some yeast. Taste is smooth, light sticky mouthfeel. Dry fruity, really good one.

375mL bottle, pours an opaque, cloudy pinkish red with a thick foamy pink-tinted head. Aroma is rather subtle and non-existent, with feint notes of cherry - not much else. Flavour is not especially dominated by the cherries, though that is the main flavour characteristic. The almonds I suppose obscure the cherry profile, but there is no hint of them. There’s a bit of Belgian yeast detectable, a lactic quality, and a bit of an alcohol kick. At the beginning, this was super bland, but the more you drink, the more the subtleties reveal themselves. The lactic qualities make the beer quite think, giving body to the subtle tart cherries and Belgian yeast. Good stuff.
