Reddish color with a small white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of cherries, wood, nuts, toast, vanilla, and toffee. Taste of much of the same, with some alcohol in there as well.

Monk’s Cafe, Philadelphia tap ($8): Pours a reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma is cherries, yeast, other fruits, and some maltiness. Taste is not really sweet at all, but the cherries are there. There is not really any sourness either. Tastes like a dark Belgian ale pretty much. I don’t really taste the almonds and vanilla much, but I am sure that they are there. Pretty good and interesting enough.

Reddish brown in color... Aroma of sour cherries and light malts... Flavor is less complex than I would expect from Mikkeller, slightly tart with notes of almonds on the finish, but not terribly sour... Decent ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Cloudy red color, large white head, nice lacing. Taste of very subtle fruit. Taste of slightly sour cherries. Not bad.

(Draught) cloudy dark red, ring of white head. Nose of cherry pie, spices, agave, and wheat. Taste is bitter, cherry pie filling, spices, well carbonated, dry.

Cloudy, peach colored. Some suspended sediment. This is an unusual color for a beer, and pretty! Little aroma. Maybe I get a hint of the vanila, or perhaps the rice. Cherries (or plums) on the front, Christmas spices on the finish. Medium body. Sweet, but not sticky. Really does remind one of a Christmas rice pudding.

Bottle from Ölkonsortiet cons 2011-12-23 Karlskoga AR: red fruits, cherries AP: coper/pinkish, thick creem beige/pink steady frothy/stouthy head, greet lacings F: krisk, wee bubbly carbonation, warming feeling, lime, sour fruitiness, fruit juice, it was a bit weired beer that after 1/2 hour was much better then to begin with!

Red beer. Medium carbonation. Very fruity (cherries) but not sour.. Bitter sweet. Good to drink with a dessert.

Overall: Slightly fruity and sweetish, not really that interesting.

Bottle @ Home. Pours hazy dark orange with a creamy offwhite head. Aroma sweet fruit, cherries, rice, vanilla. Taste is malty, rice, oranges, cherries, vanilla. Medium body, soft carbonation, nice fruity bitterness in the finish. 301211
