Bottle. A really tart saison-like belgian storng ale with notes of mild spices, flowers and with a herbal bitterness. Maybe a bit too heavy and therefore one dimensional.

Clear golden with high, lasting, lacing, creamy white head.
Aroma i spice, yeast, malt and some brett.
Taste the same with even more barrel character in the form of white wine grapes, brett, and wood.
Also quite citrus fruite tasting. Finish is fruity, dry, and tart. Medium body, high carbonation. Fine and complex.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 podey (471) - New York, New York, USA - APR 26, 2013
12.7oz bottle, 2012 vintage. Pours ever so slightly reddish tinged gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is lovely; fruity Belgian yeast, brett, white wine and some floral notes. Taste starts out moderately sweet, with notes of yeast, fruits and malts. Then there is an overlay of more tart/dry white wine and oak here that is wonderfully balanced with the yeast/fruit notes so the finish is more tart than sweet. Slighly warming notes from the alcohol but not at all overpowering. Overall, this is a really terrific, complex beer with a great balance where all the flavor notes complement, but don’t overwhelm each other. Really lovely.
3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 bhensonb (8954) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 4, 2013
Bottled shared by Marcus. Pours a pinkish? tinged gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is earthy Belgian fruit/esters. With grassy hop? Med minus body. Flavor is light, but firm, fruity esters. Tends towards mild red berry. I’m tempted to say strawberry. It’s finishing towards tart.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 marcus (4989) - Sacramento, California, USA - APR 4, 2013
Bottle from Star Grocery, Berkeley. Pours cloudy light amber with an attractive off-white head and a berry aroma. There is a carbonated earthy caramel malt flavor with a fruity background and a winey finish. Very interesting.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 thewolf (9828) - Kolding, DENMARK - MAR 30, 2013
Bottle, bought @ Ølbutikken, Cph.
Pours clear copper golden with a large, frothy, white head. Great duration. Aroma has lovely oak, grapes, sweet malts, citrus, green apple. Medium, prickly carbonation, oily and very dry mouthfeel. Flavour is elegant, very oaky with some vanilla, vinious, grapes, citrus zesty bitterness. Some funk and a good balance between the wine aspects and the malts sweetness.
