750 mL bottle with a plastic(?) cork. Not a lot of carbonation, so the "cork" kind of eases off. Aromas hit before anything else... kind of a fruit and chocolate mixture of roasty malt. Body takes shape and it is very dark and releases about one finger of head. Flavor is interesting. The chocolate is there in strength, but there is also a lot of dark fruit taste as well. The two come together nicely with a little bit of a chalky texture and the high abv definitely gives a nice warming sensation. At the same time, however, there is a little bit of a flat spot right before things blossom into that lovely fruit dominated aftertaste in which nothing is going on and it seems kind of thin.

Great brew. The belgian yeast adds sweet finish without overpowering all of the other subltle dark fruit, roasty, chocolaty, spicy flavor. Aroma is malty and sweet. Nice body. Very enjoyable.

Nose is a rich malt, wow, a lot of alcohol but quite nice, copper, a small toffee head, with pretty lace. Taste is a great malt injection, and a fine hoppy backup. Full bodied, deeply bitter, dry as unbuttered toast. Fabulous! Thanks mds.

75 cl bottle. Very dark brown colour with a nice fine head. Nice complex aroma of sweet malt, dried fruit, chocolate, yeast and spices. Sweet malty flavour with notes of yeast, spices and hints of chcolate and little sourness. Ends up very tasty and hard to find the 11 % abv. A great beer.

Pour is ruddy amber brown with a thin brown head...smell is strongly dark fruit with lots of prunes...some sweetness from alcohol...taste is relatively mega sweet with said fruit flavors...almost like sweetened prune juice...some roasty flavors too like secret cocoa...relatively thinnish mouthfeel, but maybe that is due to the sweetness because it does feel terricific in the mouth...finish is fruity and sticky...I have to say I honestly don’t understand all of the 4 ratings...it is good though...

Pours a dark brown color with frothy light brown head that fades quickly. Taste and aroma are of dark fruit (figs, red grapes, raisins), belgian spice and brown sugar. and light anise. This brew is full bodied and a bit chewy. Overall, a good brew!

Pours a dark oily black with a medium mocha cappuchino head with some spotty lacing. Aroma is dark fruit, some spices, and brown sugar. Taste is very much brown sugar, figs, and assorted spices. Quite enjoyable and drinkable. A touch boozy but definetely do-able.
