Thanks to yespr for that one! Bottle looks really good, beer in the glass light brown, zippy, small head. Malty-alcoholic aroma. Starts strong, malty-dry, fruity, a bit burning. Finish a bit sourish, still warming-malty, a bit alcoholic. Very nice!

Bottle 375ml at home. 1 year since bottling. Pours cloudy dark brown with frothy, lasting, tan head. Aroma is sherry notes, red wine, bit of alcohol, oak, dark red berries. Taste is light sweet, light bitter, medium sour. Medium body, oily, soft to average carbonation.

Redwine ale in both fragrance and flavor. Delicious and interesting beer, but do you not like red wine, then you should probably stay away from this. :-)

Bottled@Monks Café Sveavägen, Stockholm. Hazy deep amber colour with a mediumsized beige head. Aroma is spices, rather lots of fruityness, alcohol and some mild berryish notes. Flavour is red grapes, some alcohol, mild berries, rather winous and some slight spicy and yeasty notes. Rather balanced. As it warms up it gets some blueberries in the finish.

Bottle from Voldby. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark amber. Aroma and taste are red wine, caramel, wood, malt and hops. Quite vinous.

Clear dark red brown with a lasting light brown head. Aroma is sweet, heavy malty, dried fruit, red wine and vanilla. Flavor is rather sweet and medium bitter. The red wine is too dominant for my liking, but even so this is still a very good beer. 241210

22-JAN-2011, bottle @Morten. Huge off-white head on a brown/red boddy. Barrels are evident. Could be brandy...? could be red wine...ah, the lable reads red wine. I still prefer the 2009 version over the 2010, and the barrel aging has added wonderfull complexity to the brew. And a slightly tart feeling that I remember in the regular version as well. Fantastic brew. Thanks, Morten. I think I will save my on bottle a couple of years.

375 ml bottle. Clear amber body with a dense beige head. Aroma of malt, dry fruit, oak, red wine and some vanilla. Flavor is sweet malt, alcohol, oak, bitter, spices and a bit perfumed. Nice but I prefer the non-barrel version this time.

Bottle @BBF 2010. Highs: made me think of sweet candy during the holiday seasons - very nice and drinkable.
