5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
By far, the best Christmas beer I have ever had, period. Had great brown color, and the spices really shine through warming you up on a cold winter day

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at home.
Very dark brown color, creamy medium and a bit fizzy head.
Aroma screams of christmas with the right blend of spices, and tones of belgian yeast.
Good malty taste with rich spices and sugar, chocolate, ends a bit too sweet for a good palate score but that doesn’t take away too much from the joy drinking this beer was

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Local bottle. Pours with a mahogany hue with a massive off-white head. Aromas of raisins, leather, chocolate, dates, roast, coffee, lightly herbal and medium esters. Flavors are slightly tannic and nutty. Some roast and astringency. Further flavors of brown sugar, bitterness, spice, chocolate. Surprisingly lively carbonation. Lively with medium to high body. My least favorite of the Santas Little helpers. Way too roasty compared to the others. Still pretty decent!

From the bottle. Poured a dark brown with red edges. Immediately smelled of alcohol with hops buried underneath. Not very pleasant. Taste was ok but really sweet.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml bottle. Deep dark brown colour, thick and persistent head. The aroma is sweet, syrupy-malty, with orange, spices (coriander, cloves etc) a whiff of alcohol and aniseed. Sweetish, roasted malty flavour, with oranges, spices and a mildly hoppy finish. Full-bodied and smooth, very enjoyable.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the CASK, Pimlico, 27th Nov 2010.Very deep red brown with a persistent small beige head. Very sweet taste - icing sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, malt. Feels quite light for over 10% but the sweetness skews the palate and there’s not enough "beeriness" for my liking. Really didn’t click for me.
