Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a murky opaque brown with a tiny light brown head. Pruney nose with quite some glue accents from the barrel. Rich body, lowish carbonation. Rotten dark fruit, a little late wood but throughout this glue character. Some warming alcohol. 131112

Degu @erzbierschof. Heftiger, likörartiger Duft. Wenig Sojasauce.

Bottle thanks to RichtheVillan. Very dark brown beer with no head, a little carbonation. Aroma is rich malts and empty wooden wine barrels. Taste is wood, spice, rich thick malts, white wine, alcohol and some fortified wine. This has a lot of the right flavours, but they just don’t gel well. Otherwise a very interesting beer.

375ml bottle from 2D2Dspuma. Pours very dark with nice tan head, creamy. Some head retention and lacing. Some tart, grapy, funky and solvent-like aromas. Medium body, soft carbonation, silky texture. Taste is ripe fruit, caramel, quite alcoholic, some sour flavours and dry harsh notes. Some unbalanced.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2014 27.12.2013, 0,375l bottle @ home:
Nice slightly red-brown fizzy mediumlasting head. Aroma is very dry oaked and boozy, lots of spices, dark malts, cocoa, burnt coffee, grass. More like tequila aged than white wine I’d say. Taste is kind of sour-ish dry, oak, grass, spices, caramel malts, cocoa, citrus peel, white wine, sour coffee. Longlasting bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Fair enough, kind of strange.

Bottle. Tasted alongside the speyside. Pours Dark Brown with a thin, rapidly dissipating head. There’s traces of the base beer (which is excellent) but they’re muddied by the wine ageing. Caramel, prunes and sour, off wine. A failed experiment. The speyside one is better.

Dark brown pour with a small, tan head; fading fast to little more than a film. Aroma of smoke, wood, alcohol and leather. Cloyingly sweet, almost medicinal. Taste is a weird combination of bitter chocolate, grapes and wood. Not very pleasant to be honest. Close to full bodied and very softly carbonated.

almost no moccha coloured head. coffee/coke non transparent colour. *extreme* woody smell that completely overpowers anything else that might be there. taste is as extreme as the aroma suggest. utterly disappointing, didn’t even finish this one. compared to the delicious original 2011 SLH this is one traumatic experience ;) notes from backlog

En årgang 2011 drukket i feb 2013. En krydret duft, eg, syrlig i smagen, fyldig, hvidvin smag. Udemærket Free Føroyar!!!
