Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a murky opaque brown with a tiny light brown head. Pruney nose with quite some glue accents from the barrel. Rich body, lowish carbonation. Rotten dark fruit, a little late wood but throughout this glue character. Some warming alcohol. 131112

Opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Nose of paint and nail polish remover and sweet fruits!! Palate is airy and semi dry, mild fine carbonation. Taste largely follows the snout and adds a little dry dark chocolate. Trace of vanilla before a dry finish. Very messy.

Bottle, 375ml corked. A more or less black one, topped by a dense, small light tan head. Very vinous aroma, with roasted malts, tar, some licorice hints and molasses. Some dried fruits. The flavor is sure on the wine side, with sweetness, vanilla hints, roasted malts and licorice. Medium body, seems it feels thinner caused by the barreling. Soft and lightly warming. Vinous, lightly roasted finish. Certainly not my favorite Santas Little Helper, but far, far from bad. 121019
