Keg at CP&K. It pours opaque brown, with a thin beige head. The nose is caramel, treacle, aniseed, chocolate, spice, coffee, tar and varnish. The taste is leather, wood, coffee liqueur, tangy dark fruit, sweet toffee, petrol, charcoal, ash, liquorice, roasted malt and spice, with a long, dry finish. Full body and fine carbonation. Decent, but I prefer some of the previous iterations of it.

03-NOV-2011, draft @Mikkeller on ØJ dag. Almost black with no head. Sweet roasted caramelly nose. Some malty fruitiness, but not a lot. A hint of vanilla? Anyway some faint spices. Taste is slightly roasted and caramelly. A bit thin and low on carbonation. Not as impressed as I used to be with earlier vintages.

Bottled 375ml (Alko, BB 08/2017?)
Almost opaque brown color, good creamy brown head, some lace. Chocolate, toasted malts, spices and Vodka-like alcohol in the nose. Medium-bodied. Candi sugar, chocolate and spices in the flavor and then overwhelming alcohol. Too raw, needs ageing but shows some potential.

Tap at Ørsted Ølbar, Cph: Black beer with a rather flat light brown head. Very aromatic with a little plum, some coffee, licorice, chocolate, soy sauce, butterscotch, wood. The taste is as big as the body, heavy and medium sweet bitter, very sticky in the mouth, softly carbonated and with a sensation of burning alcohol in the long slightly raw finish. Not bad, but hard to stomach more than 10-15 ml at 4 o’clock pm.

Black pour. Big, light, tan/khaki colored head. Slowly falls leaving a coating of bubbles behind. Malty, carbonic aromas, with hints of chocolate. And sugar. Taste is malty, alcoholic, and a bit fruity. Not bad. A bit too hot, but it is nice on a cold day.
