TET (1095) - FINLAND - NOV 10, 2011
UPDATED: NOV 2, 2012 A almost black beer with a medium, brown head. Aroma is great, roastiness and liquirice, lot of pine woods and some warming alcohol and spicyness. Taste is also roasted with liquirice, medium piney bitterness, spicyness, anis and some black peppers and spicyness. Smooth carbonation, full bodied, pleasant to drink. When the beer is warmer, then spicyness is more dominant than liquirice. This year Santas helper hitts the target and I enjoy this package, very succesfully, enjoyable, distantly similar than Nøgne Ø #100, but clearly more spicy. Edit. 2.11.2012. One year old, now there are also dark furits and raisins in the aroma, same dark fruits can be found also from the taste.

Bitter, chocolately stout-like aroma. Very good taste. Dark bitter chocolate stout on the taste -- though listed as a BSA. Pours a great dark brown with tan head. Excellent brew.

Deep, deep reddish brown with a generous tan head that dissipated to a solid film and left very nice lacing. Chocolate and dark fruit up front on the nose, with hints of gingerbread and coffee poking through. Sweet dark fruits highlight the flavor profile, accompanied by strong coffee notes and modest chocolate. Winter spices and warming alcohol are also present. Full bodied, rich creamy texture, average carbonation and the dark fruit sweetness lingers in the finish.

Pours very dark red with a tan head. Aroma is spices and roasted malts, as is pretty much the flavor. Brilliant again from Mikkeller.

Bottle @ Ølkonsortiet christmas beer tasting. Pours black with a creamy light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, berries, licorice. Taste is malt, yeast, dark chocolate, dark fruit, berries, light licorice, spices, alcohol showing up in the finish. Full body, soft carbonation. Could well be mistaken for a imperial stout, but whatever still a great beer. 051111
