Bottle shared at Bruce’s pad, big thanks to Kenneth, 16/01/14. Light black with a good sized tan head. Nose is coconut shavings a la dark chocolate Bounty Bar, dark toffee fudge, light booze. Taste is mega bounty bar - red wrapper with black cardboard tray, dark chocolate, light spice, boozey leanings. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, sweet closure with light booze. Best of the series for me, nice flavours, well tempered booze - easy drinker for the style.

375mL bottle. Soon as this bitch cracked, my sinuses grew a boner. Giant tan cap on a dark brown body. Settles to a thick lace and easy 3/16" sustained base. Aroma of raisin, wood barrel, booze, vanilla, cinnamon, chocolate, plum, bready malt. Taste is sweet and not really bitter, but it is..? Palate is creamy and spice tangy. Great balanced finish.

Shared with Wim at my home. Dark brown colored beer with small brown head and no carbonation visible. Strong alcoholic fruited aroma with some wooden hints. Medium sparkling palate. Finish is wooden malty sweet with some roasty hints.

Bottle. Dark brown close to black with a medium sized creamy beige head. Good retention and lace. Sweet chocolate, lots of coconut, cocoa, light cognac notes, molasses, liquorice all sorts. Soft and smooth, really fucking pleasant and complex, looking forward to try the other BA versions. Medium/full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Can’t feel the abv. Great.

On tap @ Les Fleurs du Malt (Lyon). Dark brown with a small ring of beige foam and no lacing. Aroma is boozy at first, but it then open up and there’s vanilla, coconut and caramel. Taste is also mostly of Cognac along a strong coconut presence, spices, vanilla, caramel and a warming alcohol finish. Gull bodied. Low carbonation. Hot finish. Some dryness too. Complex, but a tad too boozy for my liking. Decent sipper.
