Theydon_Bois (6994) - The ’Sham, Surrey, - JAN 22, 2014
Bottle shared at Bruce’s pad, thanks again to Kenny for another generous act of completeism, 16/0/1/14. Extremely dark mahogony brown with a moderately sized beige covering that dissipates to spotting and edgework. Nose is light booze, cocoa, dark toffee, pinch of spice, light booze strains - not as prominent as its tequilla sister. Taste comprises dark toffee, spice, nutty, mineral bite, boozey twing, woody. Full bodied, fine carbonation, sweetness and light booze in the closure. Nice stuff.

Bottle @All My Vinyl Tasting, Edinburgh. Pours Black, very slight head which went almost straight away. A nice hint of orange on the nose as you might expect. Taste wise a nice balance of dark fruits/raisins, orange and right at the end a hint of vanilla, nice

Bottle at home, cheers Stu. Pours hazy near black, little head. Aromas of booze, dark sugar, wood, raisins. Taste finally brings a light orange booze note, going in to fruitcake, then leather. Dry finish. Good.

Scopey (5521) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 18, 2014
Bottle courtesy of Mr Ken. It pours darkest brown with a small tan head. The nose is wood, earth, umami aspect, toffee, milkiness, tablet and orange. The taste is pretty sweet, toast, roasted malt, mild acidity, dark fruits, fruitcake, wood and faint spice. Medium-full body and moderate carbonation. The weakest of the 2012 BA versions IMO. A bit sweet and sticky.
