37.5 cl bottle @ home. Pours dark brown with some sediment and a tan head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma and flavour are roasted malt, minerals, spices, caramel, and dark fruits - with a slightly bitter finish.

Another of the barrel aged versions of Santaís Little Helper and so far the first beer I encountered that is matured on tequila barrels. I immediately associate the presence of tequila taste in beer with horrific tequila-flavoured lagers but obviously this is something completely different: all the complexity and perfume of the original beer, but more woody, with some tannins (though softer than in the cognac version) and with a subtle spiciness indeed vaguely reminiscent of tequila. Another Mikkeller masterpiece.

SlackerMads (1613) - Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 12, 2014
Bottle. Dark brown close to black with a medium sized creamy beige head. Good retention and lace. Rum soaked raisins, chocolate, cocoa, dark dried fruits, licorice all sorts, syrup. Medium/full body, oily texture, soft/medium carbonation. A little less complexity than the cognac barrel, but still awesome.

JohnnyJ (4362) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 3, 2014
Bottle. Dark brown pour. Raisin, mild roast, notes of chocolate, fruitcake, oak, and noticeable tequila. Okay, but Iím not a big fan of tequila barrel aging.
