330 ml bottle. Pours nearly black with a full beige head. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, dark sugars and roasted malt. Taste rich and well balanced, Dark malts and sugars, not a lot of bitterness. Very pleasant.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2012 Black, small to medium tan head. Chocolate, some coffee, dark fruit. Spices are subtle. Full body. Excellent balance and finish. Yet to have a Mikkeller beer I wasnt impressed with.

chocolate, coffee, wine, woody scent. dark brown almost black color. Initial sweet chocolate taste, a bit too bitter for me. Wasn’t expecting it to be bitter. Other than that, pretty good.

from Erzbierschof - black beer with a rather poor beige foam left; aroma of black chocolate with some coriander on top of it; pretty sweet; full-bodied; a light earthy tartness, residual sweetness with hints of candi sugar and chocolate; some lingering sharpness - not really convincing

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2012 Bottle shared with rbrazell, thanks! Pours a thick brownish-black from the bomber with thin tan head and light lacing. Aroma of red wine and chocolate. Taste is dark chocolate, bitter hops, spices that remind you of christmas, with a dry, ashy, chcolatey finish. Booze catches up as a burn in your stomach. Good stuff.

Deep brown pour with a small tan head. Chocolate, salt, ash notes of coffee and figs on the nose with bits of wood and vanilla. Chocolate covered raisins on front of the tongue with Belgian yeast, spices with hints of coffee. Medium bodied with hints of booze and a quick finish. Not bad.

Might need a rerate on this, as this did little for me. Found it to have little body for 11%, seemed underdone and wasn’t exactly brimming with flavour. It certainly wasn’t bad - the dark fruits, figs, cinammon and vanilla were nice, but it didn’t go anywhere or hold my interest for long. Might need some time to come together. Body seemed a bit underwhelming and a tad undercarbonated.

Draught @ [ OJ-dag paa Fairbar ] Fairbar, Norre Alle 66, 8000 Aarhus, Denmark.

Unclear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, light moderate hoppy, moderate yeasty, spicy, coriander notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, spicy yeast, dark fruit, dried fruit, dark candy sweet alike. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20121101]

750mL bottle to pint glass Prunes, toffee, dough, grape and alcohol aromas. Deep opaque brown with a creamy medium tan head. Alcohol with light coffee, sweetness in the middle and a late back of the tongue bitterness. Full bodied and creamy with a alcoholic burn.

Draft. Dark brownish maroon color, nice dark brown head, solid lacing. Aroma os slightly medicinal coffee. Taste is coffee spiked with a schnapps of some sort. Muvh tastier than the aroma would suggest.
