Deep brown, hazy beer with a beige head. Nose: A strange smell of rubber! Something wrong with this bottle? I also sense dark fruit, spice, belgian yeast, coffe and brown sugar. Taste: Gladly no taste of rubber! Caramel malt, dark fruit, spice, coffee, dark syrup and dark bread. A light body with a little waterish taste. I think Mikkeller can do better than this!

Pours dark brown-amber with creamy-yellow top, thick and rocky, light lacing. Aroma of dark malt, heavy toasted, alcohol pungent, raisins, dark-caramel-syrup, yeasty. Foam was pleasant herbal bitter, but in flavor hopping dissapears to me, more bitter from dark malt. Interesting Belgian strong ale with similarities with strong dark lager or strong porter, with interesting touch of toasted or roasted malt. One 750ml bottle was too much to me although gravity wasn’t obvious. Medium+ body, not so dry finish.

750 mL bottle. Poured deep brown with a short-lived beige head. The aroma picked up warm molasses and biscuity sugars with darker fruit and peppery accents.. boozy right on the back of the nose. The flavor found molasses, candi sugar, and darker fruit at the core with dry peppery notes and earth around.. finished dry and a bit boozy. Heavier-bodied with low carbonation.. Ok feel and flow.. lacked direction.

Maltig, sockrigt smak med obestämbara julkryddor. Åt det tunna hållet, men med lite pepprighet. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
