Malty aroma like an old wet towel. Cloudy brown red. Sweet and sour taste with the alcohol too much in focus. I really hope that there was some kind of mistake in this bottle. I can’t believe it can be that bad.

75 cL bottle. Pours cloudy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is caramelish, roasted and cinnamon. Solid roasted caramel malt. Bitter, dry spiced and vague herbal. A bit more alcohol presence noticeable in the 10.9 version compared to the 9.1. 9.1 version seems a wee bit more balanced. Solid spiced notes on the 10.9 version, slight subdued in comparison on the 9.1 version. Bitter and dry spiced finish.

Time to taste this years little helper. It pours brown with a brown head (no way?) Aroma of sweet belgian yeast, ripe sweet fruits (plums, dates and figs), roasted malts, brown sugar, warm banana, marzipan, spice and some sweet candied apple. Taste has some dark sweet fruits, some chrsitmas spices (Christmas vibe), star anis, plum, a bit of alcohol, brown sugar, marcipan, some hops and some syrup. I still like this brew!
