24-JAN-2014, draft @Mikkeller & Friends. Hazy Brown, lo off-white head. Weak aroma - perhaps too Cold as with all Mikkeller tap beers. Only a little bread and brown sugar on the nose. Taste is bread, , spice, roast, Brown sugar. Quite hoppy bitter finish. Full body and lively carbonationi. This is still a really good X-mas brew

Mkt mörkröd. Bra skumkrona. Karamelldoft ock kryddor. Maltig smak. Smakar som färsköl. Lång, lite eldig eftersmak. God & inte så mättande. Dessutom bryggd i Belgien!

Bottle 330ml @Beer Hunters Deep ruby color, steady beige head. Nose is weak. Toasted with light spiceyness. Medium-bodied. Light toastyness, candy sugar, raisins and light spices. Easy going for this abv. Clean mouthfeel.

Draft at bistro on bridge. Pours dark brown nearly black with a medium sized tan head. The aroma has light licorice, toffee, not pungent really. The taste has some dark fruit, semi sweet, well hidden alcohol.

UPDATED: JAN 26, 2014 Alla spina.

Bottle shared at Bruce’s pad, big thanks to King Kenny, 16/01/14. Dark mahogony brown with a good sized light tan covering that retains well. Nose is light soap, hint of plastic, booze, dark fruits, touch of toffee. Taste comprises earthy cocoa, dark fruits laced with booze, touch of coffee, pinch of spice, lght roast, dark toffee. Full bodied, fine carbonation, boozed laced closure. Decent strong de la Belgique.

Bottle courtesy of Mr Ken. It pours darkest ruby-brown with a medium yellow-white head. The nose is dried fruits, earth, toast, candy, spice and jam. The taste is dandelion & burdock, toast, dark fruits, candy, liquorice, vanilla, toffee and spice. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. Plenty of fruit action going on. A touch sweet perhaps. Alright.
