Bottle thanks to fonefan: Pours an oily opaque with dark mahogany edges and a thin, stringy-lacing dark tan head. Aroma of fresh roasty dark chocolate and coffee with a touch of molasses and sweet mild vinous oaky notes. Starts with good rich dark caramel and chocolate sweetness with an earthy roasted coffee bitterness before a drier, bittersweet and slightly warming finish. A unique and well-balanced imperial stout, but could have a little more sherry character.

Coffee, more coffee, lots of coffee. Sweet, more sweet, lots of sweet. Chocolate, some hops, decent I guess.

Bottled. Tnx thewolf! The nose has ashtray, vanilla, some roast, coffee, some chocolate. Great aroma. Black coloured beer with not much has. Motoroil appearance. The taste is bitter, has some sweetness, soy, ash, vanilla, roasted coffee/chocolate, bit vinous. Good.

Deep black pour. The nose is very rich and chewy. Heavy roasty nose with a lot of vineous sweetness. Rich chewy oakiness that plays behind intense roasted malt character. A salty/savoury soy character but there are some lighter fruity notes in back. Some date/plum as well as lots of bitter chocolate. Intensely bitter with lots of woody hoppiness and roasted malt making a contribution. It’s a pretty tasty, but very intense beer.

Bottle: Motor oil black with a deep brown film of head. Huge aroma- tarry, some rubber tire, fruity undertones, vanilla, grape, fudge and even more stuff. Quite complex in the nose. Slick warming body. Big flavor, slightly abrasive with notes of chocolate, grape, some other mildly tart fruity undertones, tarry fudge, espresso bean and late heavy roast to round it out. Elegantly body with a huge fruity malt depth. An monster of a stout that is actually somewhat interesting- use in small doses.

250; thanks, After4ever! Pours opaque black with a brown head. This may be blacker than hell! This beer is a beast from the aroma to the finish. All sorts of chocolate, coffee, wine, smoke and prune swirling around.

250; thanks, TheWolf! Jet black. Fizzy, creamy burnt tan/orange head. Head goes away, leaving absolutely nothing above beer level in the glass, but it can always be roused again. Huge roast, campfire, cigar, prune, chocolate, and coffee nose. Creamy medium body. All the aromatics return for the mid-palate. Long roasty finish.
