Pours the same as the Tomahawk, darker near clear glowing golden orange slight amber tinge with a huge bubbly creamy eggy frothy super sticky tall cream colored head. The aroma is pretty freaking awesome, as juicy and bright as the Nelson Sauvin which is pretty cool, bright tangerines, oranges, hint of creamy vanilla and banana, slight bottle fermentation notes, just a hint of butter, but really not near as noticeable as some of the other single hops. Flavor is super bitter and bubblegummy, similar in bitterness to the Tomahawk but with a stronger fruitier edge, some eraser, strong orange, creamy with some vanilla, lesser resin and pine. Medium bodied, lightly creamy feeling with sharp larger sizzling carbonation. Yummy yum yum. Habanero (654), Tranbjerg, Denmark

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 3, 2010 Hazy Tea-orange color, thick foamy white head. Nose of grape, grapefruit, fruit punch, sawdust, and cream lead to creamy body that combines straightforward resin bitterness with orange sweetness. Chewy body that dries out the mouth as it deposits a lot salt while lingering in pale malt. Everything here is good, particularly the fruity nose and creamy yet effervescent body. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 2, 2010 Bottle. Pours a very lightly hazy, dark, burnt-orange amber to sienna color. A thick, spongy head of ivory tinted foam settles to thick, lilypad-esque discs of persistent froth. Dense sheets and clumps of lacing coat the glass well. The nose is well balanced, showing toast, biscuit, and toffee in the malt base. Countering notes of bitter orange, softened pine resin, and peppery flowers prove fairly bright and fresh, though there’s a hint of estery, slightly fruity, Belgian yeast funk. Flavors follow suit, again well balanced between the toasty toffee-biscuit and the bright, bitter, orange-grapefruit and resin notes. Medium-bodied and smooth, the finish dries out a bit, while carbonation remains soft but persistent throughout. This one is pretty solid. Nice addition to the single hop series. beernbourbon (390), chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 1, 2010 Bottle side-by-side with Tomahawk. Pour is hazy copper with a large light tan head. Aroma is mild pine and floral hop with a honey malt aroma. Aroma is much more subtle and crisp than the Tomahawk. Flavor is also floral hop with notes of pine and citrus. A bit cleaner than the Tomahawk. The honey malt is most evident early and late with the middle dominated by hop. Finish also have some lingering floral hop notes with a faint yeast component. Thus far, I like Cascade the best. Rciesla (4064), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 30, 2010 Bottle shared by Victor. Pours a copper toned body with a thin white head. Tropical fruit notes, punch, wild fruit and some pine and grass notes. The only thing is the finish was pretty strong and hop resinous bite was very drying. Not a favorite hop of mine. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 30, 2010 Resinous aroma of apple and a hint of apricot. A salty smooth mouthfeel with a bit of malty citrus. Far too bitter even for the style. Sharpness on the palate and lingering well after. Love the brewery and like this series but wasn’t crazy for this one. fonefan (12484), VestJylland, Denmark
