Botella 330. Color ámbar y dorado poco turbia. Espuma densa color crema. Leve olor afrutado. Sabor a frutas tropicales y algo de melocotón. Amargor leve y algo melosa. Una suave IPA. Quizás se podría sacar más partido al lúpulo Amarillo comparada con otras Single Hop del mismo lúpulo.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 DocJitsu (307) - California, USA - MAR 30, 2013
Pours a dull, very cloudy orange amber color. There are bits of vegetable matter floating thoughout the beer. A light caramel colored head appears. Foamy lace streaks the glass through the entire beer. There is always at least a 1/8" cap of suds sitting on the top. Quite disappointingly, the aroma is indicative of an overly aggressive grain bill. Toffee with little pick up of any lovely amarillo. The mouthfeel is akin to a good wee heavy. Smooth and full, with just a scratch or two of carbonation on the top middle of the tongue. The flavor is nothing but flat sweet wort. Where’s the amarillo?? You’d barely know this beer was hopped at all if it weren’t for the floaties and the slight hop hotness on the back of your throat. Why are Mikkeller’s beers so grain-heavy? Not a good beer.

(Bottle) Slightly hazy amber with short lived off-white head. Subtle pleasant aroma; mainly pine but with orange notes. Light to medium body with nice carbonation. Lightly malty, biscuity initial taste with some balancing fruity notes develops into a pretty aggressive hoppy bitterness. Overall, interesting to taste the single hop, but I understand why it is normally not used in isolation.

Bottle at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a slightly cloudy copper colour. The aroma is malty, rich and with a hint of hops. The flavour is medium bitter with low carbonation, a little chewy with some nice bitterness in the palate. I didn’t appreciate this beer quite so much as other people seem to have.
