The best of the whole series? Bittersweet, slightly woody, saliva-inducing. Show why this is such a vital ingredient in many IPAs. Everyone end their neighbour has made single hop beers with this, so no real surprises here.

Bottle. Hazy copper body, big frothy offwhite head. Aroma of pine, citrus, mango. Taste of caramel, oranges, citrus, peach. Lasting bitter finish with peach. A good showcase of the Amarillo hop

Pours apricot-amber with a whipped, yellowish head. Nose is faint, but pleasant.....citrus, pine. Taste is quite floral, grapefruit.....malt.. The Amarillo imparts a medium bitter that pairs nicely with the fruitiness. A very good beer.

Bottle at Bruce’s Housewarming Party Tasting, London. Pours a lightly hazy, dark gold with a small, creamy, off-white head. Mild nose with just some light, dry grass and pine, along with hints of alcohol and orange. Nice flavor of melon, with hints of florals and spice, light wood, grapefruit. Medium bodied with average, creamy carbonation. Medium sweet finish with some fruitiness, a bit of grass and pine, light dirt and sand. It doesn’t have a ’hop kick’, a bite, but it’s a nice drinkin’ beer.

This beer is a hazy pale amber-orange color with a thick and fluffy white head that diminishes slowly. Partial sheets of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of floral hops and citrus along with some malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops character and notes of pine, tropical fruit and malt. The finish is hoppy with a lingering fruit aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle from Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Orange verging on amber. Drily fruity, with white grape and some grapefruit - not much, mind. Crunchily dry. Very fizzy. Not the biggest flavour or best hop notes, perhaps, but improves through the mouth and gives hops without lapsing into dry or boring malt.

Bottle @ Bruce’s Housewarming Tasting. Deep amber color with a small white head. The nose is light floral hops, jammy peach, golden delicious apples. The aroma’s pleasant, almost herbal in nature. The taste is much the same, light apple and melon with a strong herbal, musty presence. A bit dry, Medium body, soft carbonation. Quite pleasant.

Bottle at Pats, pours a hazy glowing pink hued orange with tiny head and not much lacing. Aromas of peach, skunky hops, tangerine, pilsner malt. Tast is peachy hops, with some lemon zest and grass notes. Clean tasting brew with a light bitterness. This was our favorite single hop of the night.

As my favorite hop is amarillo, I had to try this, and it had to be an success. What a fantastic beer. The smell is just mindblowing, best smell from a beer I’ve ever had. The Aroma is tipical amarillo, citrus, elderberry, some grass. Very good balance in the mix here. Would have this over almost any beer when I have the chance.

Hazy amber beer. Good white head. Dry palate, a little soft. Marmaladey orange grapefruit. Finishes minerally, bitter and dry.
