COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: Amarillo is a very popular American hop variety, which has gone from strength to strength all over the world. Plenty of floral aromas and pine needles and plenty of raw bitter taste. This Single Hopped IPA is a chance to taste Amarillo completely isolated from other hops.
Ingredients : Water, malts (pilsner, cara-crystal and munich), hops (amarillo) and yeast.

HKdIPA (194) - HONG KONG - JAN 8, 2014
UPDATED: APR 20, 2014 Bottle from Kaohsiung HSR station. Aroma is citrus and caramel, but herbal. Taste is hoppy but this series of single hops from Mikkeller (vs other series from same brewery) doesn't seem to let hop characteristics through as much. Tastes sharp, bitter, juicy and slightly sweet. Crisp dry bitter finish. Not bad but a bit disappointing vs previous single hops and other Amarillo-dominant IPAs.

Pours intense deep amber with rich off-white top, light to medium lasing. Aroma - sweet, caramel with pine. Indeed IPA cause malt-caramel profile is only background for hops bitter to shine. Medium body, medium thick, watery texture, dry finish, pleasant, lasting bitter aftertaste.

From notes. Poured cloudy, with an orange color and a creamy off-white head. Aroma of citrus peel, caramel, yeast, mango and resin. Fairly bitter with well balanced sweetness. Nothing too complex, but still a good one.

Bottle from saveur-biere.com. Amber clear body with massive, stable, rocky, white head, that leaves a lot of lacing. Great, typical amarillo aroma of tropical fruits and flowers, also sugar, malt and some grass. Taste is sweet, with sugar, grapefruit, citrus, some grassy notes. Medium body, with a medium bitter, citric finish. Very good, refreshing, nice aromas, but there are even some better Amarillo IPAs.

Bottle BBE July ’15. Big white head on the pour. Nice Amarillo aroma and crisp fruity taste. Long and medium bitter finish. Good showcase for the Amarillo hop. There is a good body for almost 7%. I don’t like a watery body with single hops. I have to say I really enjoyed this one. Cheers!

Bottle: Murky copper gold color with small ring head. Musty, sour coffee grounds aroma, alcohol. Great smooth flavor. Horse blanket flavor in the hops. Great prolonged aftertaste.

Bottle pours a murky amber/brown with a hoppy bitter almost coffee flavor. Flavor is lightly toasted, plenty of Amarillo hop flavor. A bit of a chalky palate at the end.

Mooie oranje kleur met een goede volle kraag. Lekker bitterzoete geur, citrus, sinasappel, hop en iets van honing. Smaakt goed bitter, orange, grapefruit. Lekkere bittere afdronk.
