English: Amarillo is a very popular American hop variety, which has gone from strength to strength all over the world. Plenty of floral aromas and pine needles and plenty of raw bitter taste. This Single Hopped IPA is a chance to taste Amarillo completely isolated from other hops.
Ingredients : Water, malts (pilsner, cara-crystal and munich), hops (amarillo) and yeast.

Hoppy aroma of malt, caramel, citrus, tropical fruits. Flavour is both malty and fruity hoppiness, with a nice bitter finish. A wonderful single hop IPA.

On tap @ L’Express de Lyon (Mikkeller Tap Takeover). Clear copper with a frothy off-white head and good lacing. Aroma is of fruity hops, toasted malt, caramel and hints of pine. Taste is slightly sweet and moderately malty with caramel, light fruitiness, moderate bitterness and spicy notes. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Slightly dry finish. Average IPA. A tad too malty for my liking, but not bad at all.

Tap@ølhus sthlm. Orange, cloudy. Caramel. Peachy overripe oranges, apricots, some lime citrus. Full fluffy body, nice mouthfeel. Vanillish stone fruityness, a bunch of juicyness. Yet another super hoppy fruity ale. Good flavours, if you like the hop variety.

Pours a murky orange color, but drank from bottle so didn’t get much aroma or head on it. Taste is of malt, citrus fruits, flowers and lots of hops. Sweet and refreshing, but really hoppy and bitter too. Medium body, soft carbonation and a long bitter finish. The flowery and intense bitterness of this one doesn’t do it for me.

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2014 From tap at Fermentoren Aarhus. Beautiful murky orange beer. Taste of grape, citrus and pine. This i s exactly how IPA should taste - simple, bitter, fresh, floral and absolutely seductive.

Aroma is citrus , earthiness, and clove. Taste is quite bitter but finished smoothly . Not much coming from malts. Body is a slightly cloudy and gold. There is a nice frothy pearl head that retains well.
