4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Ungstrup (26216) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - FEB 11, 2006
[I’m trying to make it a tradition to celebrate my centuries etc. with a Mikkeller brew - did it at 5500 and 5555 - and this one is number 5600, so You boys better start brewing new beers, because I’m aiming high ;-) ] A hazy dark red beer with a nice lazing light brown head. The aroma is very hoppy and grassy, combined with light notes of malt and alcohol. The flavor is sweet at first, with some notes of malt and caramel, but it is soon overpowerd by the bitterness from the hops, with its different notes of grass and citrus. The alcohol gives the tongue a slight bite on the edges. I really like this one. Amarillo, Amarillo, rock me, Amarillo!!!
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 yespr (25930) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - NOV 21, 2009
33 cL bottle. Pours dark orange, hazy and with a huge, light tan and rocky head, stable throughout drinking the beer and leaving a nice lacing on the glass - rather Belgian in appearance. Aroma is resin, orange fruity and light peachy. Solid grapefruity flavoured, rather dry yet with a light sweet fruity note. Crisp bitterness - just sub of solid. Sweet malty and slight wheaty impression into a smooth finish. Lovely!
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Papsoe (25131) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 13, 2006
(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a hazy, dark amber with a creamy, almost yellowish head. Hoppy, fruity and rather complex aroma. Full-bodied with some caramel and great notes of grape fruit from the Amarillo. The finish is not overly bitter, but surprisingly the alcohol really shines through. A lovely beer. 130406
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 oh6gdx (18554) - Vasa, FINLAND - JAN 22, 2011
Bottled@Esplanadi, Tampere. Amber colour, small beige head, that leaves good lace. Aroma is grass, fruits, some mild bitterness. Flavour is rather bitter grass, fruits and some mild floral notes. Mild acidicness.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 omhper (17448) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 31, 2006
UPDATED: APR 24, 2006 Bottled. Cloudy reddish brown, rich creqamy head. Strong orangey nose. Medium sweet with soft mouthfeel and firm body. Contrary to the Simcoe IPA and Centennial IPA the hops allow for the malt character to shine through with it’s butterscotch and caramel. Alcohol plays a non-neglectable part, and the finish is less overwhelming than in the other two IPAs I just had from Mikkeller. Orange zest dominates the finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 fiulijn (12179) - Malmö, DENMARK - FEB 17, 2010
UPDATED: MAR 8, 2010 2010-03-02, draught at Ølbaren, 6-5-7-4-14=36 Cloudy amber color; creamy head. Nice aroma, fruity (citrus fruits, light grapefruit) and some ashes. Good body, at this gravity, dry toffee flavor; it has a strong bitterness, very resiny (almost harsh); I would prefer more sweetness and fruitness (but then all beers would taste the same). Aggressive.
2010-02-19, draught at Plan B, Copenhagen, 6-5-7-5-14=38 Beautiful color, light amber, cloudy; medium creamy head. The aroma is hoppy, cheesy (parmesan), lightly sweaty, not really fruity. Toffee flavor, more dry than sweet, followed by a strong hopping, moderately fruity (bitter oranges); the final is more resiny and tough. Solid IPA.
2010-02-14, bottle, 7-4-7-4-15=37 Hazy amber color; generous head. The aroma is moderately fruity and sweaty; nutty; it takes some time to fully develop. Good toffee flavor, a bit rounder than in some of the sister bottles; powerful hopping, with dry resins and hop oils, not much fruity. The final is very resiny. Aggressive but pleasant.
