English: Amarillo is a very popular American hop variety, which has gone from strength to strength all over the world. Plenty of floral aromas and pine needles and plenty of raw bitter taste. This Single Hopped IPA is a chance to taste Amarillo completely isolated from other hops.
Ingredients : Water, malts (pilsner, cara-crystal and munich), hops (amarillo) and yeast.

Brown orange pour with a thick cream head. Floral hops dominate the aroma. A bit thin and lacking the bitterness and citrus hops I’d like in an IPA. Like with cheese we probably should have started with this before busting out the double and triple IPA’s.

Bottle. Aroma: Sweet, bready (as warms), caramel and roasty malt, light hint of orange peel and grapefruit. Palate: Flavor: Sweet, roasty caramel roast, mikan and white grapefruit without peel. Growing bitterness on a citrus finish. Comment: More subtle than the Saaz and Sorachi Ace, Less aromatic but adds a nice orange flavor and bitterness plus citrus lift on the finish.

One of the Single Hop IPAs made at the ’Proef’brouwerij. Very rocky and thick, yellowish white head - the positive effect of hops on head formation is clear. Misty amber colour, very citrussy hop nose, lime, orange zest, spiced gin, raw potato, oatmeal cookies, tonic water. Soft citrussy onset with medium carbonation, caramel malts in the background, quickly overpowered by a very strong, spicy, peppery, grassy, long hop bitterness.

On tap: A clear red-amber colour with a high off-white head. An aroma of toast, caramel, orange and citrus. The taste is medium sweet and medium bitter.

11.2 oz bottle poured in shaker no idea when brew was born. Pours brown, a ton of large sediment and a foamy off white head that stays. Light Amarillo (piney/leather) hoppy smell, really hardly anything on the nose. Hardly much flavor to this either, light and bubbly. Taste mildly hoppy with a grassy wintergreen aftertaste. Maybe it is past its best by date because it is hardly hoppy enough to be considered an Ipa. Bland and easy going, still gotta rate it cost $6.

bottled. lightly hazed orange colour with a thin but lingering head; aroma of pine resin and freshly squeezed grapefruit juice; big malt backbone, toffeed, with a good whack of bitterness. probably my favourite in the series

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, orangey, deep golden to amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Citrusy hoppy aroma, hints of lemon, orange, tangerine, orange zest. Taste is bitter hoppy, fruity notes of orange, lemon, tangerine, orange zest, caramel malty backbone with orange biscuit touch.
