3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can tell this beer is a touch old because it has lost almost all bitterness. Nice looking orange beer with a frothy head. Aroma is faint citrus hops with caramel malt flavours. Taste is sweet malt with grapefruit flavours minus the bitterness. A touch of lemon zest is present. A bit of resin and pine hop flavours. A fairly complex beer. Finish is sweet. Not bad, but would have loved to have tried this fresh and bitter (I’m guessing it was bitter at one point). Palate is super creamy and delicious.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma: Smelling funky, cheese, fermented strawberries, nettles and resin.
Appearance: A clouded amber brew, an off-white head with little lacing but good curtains.
Taste: Starting sweet toffee, cheese, grape-fruit, resin, oil and rubber.
Palate: Light carbonation, small bubbles, oily, a dry finish.
Overall: A complex, overpowering and intrusive hop character.
Note: Bottle 330 ml, at De Klomp tasting. Reviewed 2012-02-11.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
New Beer Distributors, NY 330ml ($5): Pours a brownish colour with a dark head for an IPA. Aroma is pine, toffee, and caramel malt. Beer, like the others, is very palatable, and I found this one to be especially easy to drink, and, as such, probably drank it way too fast. Hop bitterness is nice and mild. There ain’t much citrus. This is a good beer considering it’s brew by the numbers with permutations.

12 oz. bottle, pours an opaque orangey amber with a medium beige head. Aroma of tropical fruits, spicy hops and caramel malts. Flavour of oranges, spicy hops, and biscuity, caramel malt to back - well-balanced. Really nice and pungent, flavourful IPA. Excellent.

earthy brown appearance more or less lets you know what you’re in for with this one. if you’ve had a few from this series you probably dont need me to tell you that they can be a pretty rough beer, not bad, just very funky, earthy IPA’s. though i’ve never had more than one in a sitting, in my mind they all taste more or less the same, with the fantastic exception of the nelson sauvin
