3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Beer3000 (3723) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 14, 2012
330 ml @ Patricks. Slightly hazy reddish orange with a big, creamy off-white head. Aroma has more grass and hay than fruit, a hint of caramel. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, a bit crass bitterness, grass and a rather dry biscuit type malt flavor. Medium body and bitter aftertaste. Descent, but far from the best single hop. Not in balance.

Bottle at Olympen. Pours deep golden with a huge head. Citrussy aroma, hints of grass. Some initial caramel countered by citrussy and even earthy hoppiness. Interesting.

Draft. Pours amber orange with an off white head. Fruity tropical hops with light sweet malts and medium bitterness. Better than most of the other Mikkeller Single Hops.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ComradeK (732) - Blue Mountains, AUSTRALIA - APR 29, 2012
330ml bottle. Pours a hazy dark amber, with a fairly large off-white head, which lasts well and leaves good lacing. Fruity and quite sweet hops aromas dominate the nose, with lychee, melon and rosewater most prominent, sitting over a base of caramel malt. Tropical fruit hops up front give way to smooth caramel malt, which lends a bit of body to the beer. More fruity hops come through in the finish, with sweet lychee and perhaps a touch of bubblegum. Apollo is not a hop I have had unaccompanied before - it does certainly create some very interesting flavours. Whilst perhaps not as potent as some of Mikkeller’s other single hop IPAs, this is still an interesting and very pleasant beer.
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 mkel07 (2340) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - APR 17, 2012
330ml bottle. Like the rest of the beers in the Mikkeller single hop series this one is a cracker with a big fluffy head of sand coloured foam that refuses to fade. Base colour of the beer is sunset orange with a light haze. The aroma packs a passion fruit punch and is pleasing to the nose. Full mouthfeel and a resinousy lingering aftertaste.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 DruncanVeasey (6114) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Premier, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - APR 10, 2012
Blind tasting at the Penguin. Clear bronze with a high, sculpted white foam. Humming, florid, tropical fruit (lychee, mango) aroma with peach and blackcurrant back notes. Less expressive on the flavour front with a lean grapefruit bitterness leading to an abrupt, un-aromatic finish. Some peach, chlorophyll and warming alcohol. Tasty enough, but missing that certain something (another hop?)...
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jredmond (4021) - Manhattan, New York, USA - APR 8, 2012
Draft at gingerman. Pours an amber body with light white lacing. Aroma is sweet grapefruit. Mouthfeel is medium starts off creamy but ends short with notes of citrus hops, grapefruit, and light onions.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Terminus (2891) - Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA - APR 7, 2012
tap at Jester king brewery Austin, TX March 2012-pours lightly hazy orange with a rocky off-white head. nose is leafy, almost tobbaco-like hop nose, lite spice and lite herbal quality as an almost dank shoveled earth kind of quality. . flavors exhibit the mentioned leafy herbal qualities of this hop-doesnt come across as a very good hop for ipas, this would be good for esb’s, session ales and maybe even some belgians. Not very bitter, but has some definate spicy hop qualities. For what it is, its definately decent however, i do not think this is a very good hop for IPA’s. A well crafted beer however.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 ClubGonzo (2695) - Bergen, NORWAY - APR 6, 2012
On tap @ Henrik, Bergen. Dark hazy near-brown orange body, medium creamy off-white head. Nose is earthy leafy tones, hints of pine, wood and herbs. Nougat-like grassy herbal tones, hints of earth, potatoes and parsley. Weird, but not as weird as the Summit and considerably more drinkable.
