3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: MAR 13, 2012 Light brown, almost clear body with big soapy off white head. Obviously super hoppy; mostly floral, some dry leaves, hint of parfume, grapefruit skin and a dryer, dusty tinge. Just enough smooth maltyness to form the body, setting the hops in front of everything else; not much yeast character. This is my first Mikkeller single hop rating and I expect the same for the others.Taste has full on biterness, while remaining smooth in the mouth. Nice fatty bitterness throughout the palate, which gets sharper towards the end and in the after taste gives a real nice dry, full flavour. Really asks for another sip. A very drinkable IPA on itself, but of course I will compare to the other hops in the series later. Delicious. (33cl bottle, expensive)

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, tasted beside Citra and Nugget from the series. Grassy aroma, not much citrus at all. Rich, fruity flavor, Niagara grapes, lychee, low citrus. Very interesting and original, with better flavor than either Citra or Nugget versions.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ FG with Erica last night. Poured a bright orange. I thought this was pretty good, with an above-average balance not only b/w hops and malts, but also b/w hop bitterness and hop fruitiness/citrus/grapefruit/etc. Nothing outstanding, but was glad I tried it. Need to try more of their Single Hop series since I really don’t know how to identify individual hops strains just by tasting at this point.

from a bottle. Amber with white head. Fruity aroma, grapefruit comes through. Taste has less grapefruit but with a big mango note, not as citrusy as other hops, some guava and lychee. Enjoyed this one

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Mane Liquor. This is a weird hop. Nose is very green. Granny Smith apples and green capsicums with a strong lemon zest and grassy tone on the nose. Works very well, although a tad unbalanced. Lemon zest is hugely at the forefront while the granny smith apples slowly work their way through to the finish. Spritzy and soft carbonation, although a slightly quick finish. Damn weird and damn good
