3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 mansquito (2504) - Nueva York, New York, USA - AUG 31, 2012New Beer Distributors, NY 330ml ($5): Pours a brownish colour with a dark head for an IPA. Aroma is pine, toffee, and caramel malt. Beer, like the others, is very palatable, and I found this one to be especially easy to drink, and, as such, probably drank it way too fast. Hop bitterness is nice and mild. There ain’t much citrus. This is a good beer considering it’s brew by the numbers with permutations.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ekstedt (4544) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 21, 2013
Bottle (33 cl) from Kihosk, Copenhagen, Denmark. Clear amber, large off-white head. Somewhat old and sugary malt aroma, earthy and apple-like hops. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation. Dry, medium bitterness.

A bottle drunk at a Single Hop IPA tasting I organized. The Appollo IPA had a slight funky aroma with an earthy taste and a really mild bitterness but tasted rough on it’s own.

330ml bottle from Kihoskh
Pours dark orange with a smooth white head. Aroma of grassy hops, biscuity malts and lemon. Taste is malty, bready and slightly grainy with some aged hops. Finish is malty and cardboardy. Doesn’t taste very fresh.

330 ml bottle.
Pours a hazy amber golden colour with a white foamy head. Aroma of gooseberry bush, mint and caramel. Flavour of caramel malts, really strong gooseberry bush, grassy bitterness and some pine. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a harsh, bitter, grassy finish. Obviously not at it’s best before, BBE 06.10.2013.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 gEUS (582) - Linden, BELGIUM - APR 30, 2013
330 ml bottle at home - taken from notes. Copper colour, decent head. Nice fruity aromas, frapefruit. Pine. Bitter body all the way through, sweet bitter finish. Nice drinking beer, nothing special though.
3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 highlandlad (1375) - Blue Mountains, AUSTRALIA - MAR 27, 2013
One of the more complex single-hop Mikkellers. This brewer’s beers always look great and this is no exception: IPA bronze with an enduring head. Quite a faint aroma of watery tropical fruit cordial and caramalt. Full mouthfeel - my favourite aspect of this beer. Quite a subtle flavour mix crowned by nice Orval herbal notes. Some grapefruit tartness and a dry, earthy finish. (33cl bottle from Leura Cellars. BB 6/10/13)
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Staffan47 (198) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - MAR 8, 2013
Hade inte ens hört talas om Apollo-humle tidigare. Tydligen en alfabomb på 15-17%. Kan ju aldrig bli bra att singelhoppa på en sådan humle. Fattar ju vem som helst
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 snzcujo (274) - RUSSIA - MAR 8, 2013
Tasted from the bottle, 08/03/2013.
Aroma is sweet tropically fruity, sweet oranges, a bit floral.
Taste is almost identical, but it's quite citrusy upfront and only then fruity sweet.
Aftertaste is proper piny/hoppy bitter, lovely!
Definitely recommended.

Not bad but also not great. The hop was a little too much on its own. Had a little belgo like funk.
