Bottle. Amber with a large off-white head that collapses to an inch. Aroma of grapefruit, orange blossoms, some lychees, toffee. A little bit leafy. A little caramel sweetness then itís mostly citrus fruits. Bitterness is plain but not harsh. The citrus notes are fine, but thereís no tenor notes there and the beer seems a little thin.

330 ml bottle @ Patricks. Hazy orange body with a fine off-white head. Relativly mild aroma of citric fruit, tropical fruit and caramel. Flavor has caramel malt, moderate fruity and a fine, sharp bitterness. Medium body and a fine bitter aftertaste that almost feels a bit dry. One of the few single hop beers that actually works.

From tap @Mikkeller. A blond lace upon an unclear reddish-amber body. Crisp resiny, tropical-fruity and citrus-zesty fruity hop aroma. Medium body, oily mouthfeel. Taste has a restrained, light toasted malt body. Grapefruit and pineapple-accented hop flavor. Bold fruity bitterness throughout. A rock solid single hop IPA.

Bottle, Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn. Poured a copper colour with a middling beige head. Very promising fragrant herbal hop snout with some nice tropical fruit and traces of sweet malt lurking. Flavour displayed similar qualities but didnít quite live to the nose. Dry bitter finish. Decent stuff, and I donít think Iíve had a dud in this series yet.

Keg @ Mikkeller Bar during CBC week. The beer appears reddish brown with a tiny white head. A beer thatís a bit surprising in appearance! The nose is malty deep reddish raspberry and strawberry, light hay, some tobacco. The taste is light lemon rind and fruit juice. Bananas and sugared donuts. The mouthfeel is light and perhaps overly sweet. Chewy caramel malts show themselves. Overall, a decent, malty IPA from Mikkeller.

Amber color. Off-white head with little lacing. Big floral hop aroma. Big malt flavor, cereal, scotch ale taste. Sweet on the back. Very nice.

330ml bottle. Pours a hazy medium amber, with a large off-white head, which lasts well and leaves decent lacing. Lemon, some sweet spices - cinnamon and mild cloves - and caramel malt make up the aroma. There are some quite potent hops up front, but they offer a fairly simple lemon flavour. This sweetens a little leading into a body of smooth caramel malt. A touch of lemon gives way to a spicy, slightly peppery finish. This is not the best of this series. Whilst there is a potent level of bitterness from the Bravo hops, the flavour is a touch too simple; I suspect this is a hop that would work better with some other varieties in the mix. Despite its simplicity, however, it is a pleasant enough IPA.
