3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the Blue Monk. Cloudy strong amber with creamy tan head. Mild aroma of resin, light fruit hops and doughy malt. Low carbonation, moderate body, slightly bitter with sweet malts balancing things out, well balanced although the alcohol does come through a little too much for me on the finish along with a lot of malts. Decent.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Blind tasting at The Penguin. Bleached, creamy head atop a bright coppery body. Nose back in the tropical fruit bowl; guavas, mangos, lime zest, Jelly Tots...with underlying chocolate and liquorice. Soapy, floral, approaching quinine bitterness with sherbet, strawberry and bitter orange notes. But less flavour than promised by the aroma. Has something of an amped-up, Sheps quality about it. Noticeably fizzier than previous samples. Solid.

33 cl bottle @ olio, BBE 11.10.2013
Aroma is slightly stale with lots of hops, gooseberry bush and hints of fruits. Flavour is rather hoppy with gooseberry bush and biscuits. A bit straightforward like single hops usually are, but good.

BBE 11.10.2013 - Pours dark orange with a nice foamy head. Aroma of grassy and fruity hops, caramel malts and some berries. Taste is quite fruity with harsh grassy and piney hops and malts. Finish is bitter and malty. Okay, well balanced and hoppy IPA.

330 ml bottle. BBE 11.10.2013.
Pours a hazy copper orange colour with a white foamy head. Aroma caramel, gooseberries and bitter hops. Flavour of rough malts, caramel, gooseberries and bitter hops. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a rough finish of malts and bitter hops. A rough IPA. Clearly not my favourite hop.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap @ Henrik. This one has a blurry light bronze colored body with a small but heavy lacing off-white head. Some citrus-hops initially in the aroma with some thin fruity and caramel-like hints. Not extreme, but nice enough. Tastes kinda pungent-bitter. Lots of ripe fruits here, it’s also kinda sweet - caramel sweet. It’s average carbonated and the texture is almost a bit thick and oily. Long lasting grassy bitter finish and aftertaste. It just feels a bit to sweet-ish and in my mouth, a bit unbalanced. 15.03.2012

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle (Drink Shop, Tallinn)
Pours a bold orange, with a very hop-stained head. Smells great in the pour, classic aromatic hop, a touch fruity too. In the glass it’s still going on in spades, and with a nice biscuity malt sugariness too. Tastes bitterer in the mouth than I first expected, quite an earthy barkiness, however, there’s no doubt the aromatic side of the hop doesn’t want to take a back seat. The malts are soft and caramelly, almost chewy. However, the attentuation is good. Body’s quite refreshing, though the carbonation is quite high. (Cue Anna burping...) Nice finish, the bitterness has mellowed to a simple resiny ambiance, undergrowth to the fore. Very easy drinker. I stuck this down me with no regard to the alleged alcohol, as it’s quite delicious.
