COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Originally brewed by Mikkeller, Denmark. Recent batch brewed by Mikkeller at De Proef Brouwerij, Lochristi-Hijfte, Belgium.
The third in the series of single hop IPAs from Mikkeller. Brewed with Cascade, a true American classic hop type. This hop is less powerful than the ones used in the previous two single hop IPAs - creating a great balance with the beers other aspects.
Ingredients : Water, malts (pilsner, cara-crystal and munich), hops (cascade) and yeast.

Rated on 01-13-2010 (Bottle) This bottled beer pours a medium sized off-white fizzy head, hazy body, fizzy carbonation, one ring of lacing, and a light orange hue. The Aroma is malt, hops, spicy, fruity, and pine. The Taste is bitter, malt, grapefruit, and very hoppy. The Palate is sharp and the beer is medium bodied. Overall, the hops dominate in this beer as they should given the beer style. This is a beer for hopheads!

Bottle from Brewdog shop. Amber color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, caramel, fruits, pine, earthy notes and hops. Surprisingly smooth body with hops and fruits. Bitter finish with grapefruit and caramel. Very nice, mellow IPA.

Hazy dark orange pour with white head, sweet caramel aroma. Can’t detect much for a hop/citrus/pine aroma though. Taste starts sweet and finished slightly bitter, hops aroma shows up more when drinking. Medium bodied, average carbonation. Well balanced, not a crazy hop head ipa, but a little too sweet for me.

Aroma: Flowery, pot puri and yeast aroma.

Appearance: Hazy deep amber/brown body with a thin off-white head. Nice lacing.

Taste: Soft peach, orange and bitter hops. Not quite as punchy as I was hoping for but very nice nonetheless.

Palate: Medium to full body with a sticky mouthfeel. Soft carbonation fizz.

Overall: Not as intense as other Mikkeller IPAs I’ve tried, but this is still bitter and flavoursome.

11.2oz bottle. Murky, glowing orange-red-brown body. Massive, steady off-white head. Nice bight grapefruit aroma. Cascade is really one of the greatest hops. Bold and full of bright grapefruit citrus, this is quite an enjoyable beer, though with the big malt and yeast presence I still think it is more of an APA. A pretty good beer, certainly, but not aggressive enough hopwise to warrant the pricetag.

33 cl bottle @ Olutravintola Konttori. Rated on 27.06.2009
Aroma has gooseberry bush, some citrus and hints of resin. Flavour has exotic fruits, hops, gooseberry bush, some pine needles and hints of nettles. Very good and rather rich for a single hop.
